Whoso killeth any person, the murderer shall be put to death by the mouth of witnesses; but one witness shall not testify against any person to cause him to die.

Anyone who kills another will be executed on the evidence of witnesses. But one witness alone cannot testify against a person for a death sentence.

Death is the penalty for murder. But no one accused of murder can be put to death unless there are at least two witnesses to the crime.
Whoever shall smite a person mortally, at the mouth of witnesses shall the murderer be put to death; but one witness shall not testify against a person to cause him to die.
The murderer shall be punished by witnesses: none shall be condemned upon the evidence of one man.

The case of intentional murder is different. A person so guilty shall be put to death, but only if there are enough witnesses to render a reliable account. If only one person claims to have seen the crime, you shall not put the accused to death.

A manslayer shall be punished under witnesses; no man shall be condemned at the witnessing of one man. (A man-killer shall be found guilty, and put to death, only after the testimony of two or more witnesses; no one shall be put to death after the testimony of only one person.)
