Matthew 5:36
Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.
Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, for thou canst not make one hair white or black.
Nor shall you make an oath by your head, for you are not able to make a single hair white or black.
And do not swear by your head, for you are not able to make a single hair white or black.
Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.
And you must not pledge by your head, because you can’t turn one hair white or black.
And don’t swear by your head, because you can’t make a single hair white or black.
Don’t swear by your own head. You cannot make one hair white or black.
Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.
nor may you swear-with-an-oath by your head, because you are not able to make one hair white or black.
Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.
And don’t even say that your own head is proof that you will keep your promise. You cannot make one hair on your head white or black.
And do not take an oath by your head, for you cannot make one hair white or black.
And do not take an oath by your head, for you cannot make one hair white or black.
Don’t even swear by your own head, because you cannot make one hair on your head become white or black.
Neither shalt thou swear by thine head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.
And don’t swear an oath by your head. After all, you cannot make one hair black or white.
Do not even swear by your head, because you cannot make a single hair white or black.
Neither should you swear by your head, because you cannot make a single hair white or black.
And don’t even say that your own head is proof that you will keep your oath. You cannot make one hair on your head become white or black.
Nor should you swear by your head, because you cannot make one hair white or black.
“Again, you have heard that the people in the old days were told—‘You shall not swear falsely, but shall perform your oaths to the Lord’, but I say to you, don’t use an oath at all. Don’t swear by Heaven for it is God’s throne, nor by the earth for it is his footstool, nor by Jerusalem for it is the city of the great king. No, and don’t swear by your own head, for you cannot make a single hair—white or black! Whatever you have to say let your ‘yes’ be a plain ‘yes’ and your ‘no’ a plain ‘no’—anything more than this has a taint of evil.
Neither shalt thou swear by thy head because thou canst not make one hair white or black.
Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.
Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.
And do not swear by your head, because you are not able to make one hair white or black.
Don’t even swear ‘By my head!’ for you can’t turn one hair white or black.
“And don’t say anything you don’t mean. This counsel is embedded deep in our traditions. You only make things worse when you lay down a smoke screen of pious talk, saying, ‘I’ll pray for you,’ and never doing it, or saying, ‘God be with you,’ and not meaning it. You don’t make your words true by embellishing them with religious lace. In making your speech sound more religious, it becomes less true. Just say ‘yes’ and ‘no.’ When you manipulate words to get your own way, you go wrong.
Nor shall you swear by your head, because you cannot make one hair white or black.
Nor shall you take an oath by · your head, because you cannot make a single hair white or black.
And don’t swear an oath by your head. After all, you cannot make one hair black or white.
Do not swear by your head, for you cannot make a single hair white or black.
Nor shall you make an oath by your head, for you cannot make one hair white or black.
Don’t even swear by your own head, because you cannot make one hair on your head become white or black.
Do not take an oath by your head, because you are not able to make one hair white or black.
And do not make a promise in your own name. You can’t make even one hair of your head white or black.
And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make even one hair white or black.
And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make even one hair white or black.
Nor shall you swear by your head, because you cannot make one hair white or black.
Do not promise by your head. You are not able to make one hair white or black.
Do not even say, ‘By my head!’ for you can’t turn one hair white or black.
And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make one hair white or black.
And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make one hair white or black.
And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make one hair white or black.
And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make one hair white or black.
don’t swear by your head (you can’t make one hair of it turn white or black!).
Neither are you to swear by your rosh, for you are not able to make one hair turn white or black.
And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make one hair white or black.
And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make one hair white or black.
And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make a single hair white or black.
You cannot even say that you swear by your own head, for God has dominion over your hands, your lips, your head. It is He who determines if your hair be straight or curly, white or black; it is He who rules over even this small scrap of creation.
Neither shall you swear by your head, for you can’t make one hair white or black.
Do not make a promise by your head, because you cannot make one hair of your head white or black.
neither thou shalt swear by thine head, for thou mayest not make one hair white, or black;
nor by thy head mayest thou swear, because thou art not able one hair to make white or black;
