But when His disciples saw it, they were indignant, saying, “To what purpose is this waste?

But when the disciples saw it they were indignant and angry, saying, “Why all this waste [of money]?
And when the disciples saw it, they were indignant, saying, For what purpose is all this waste?
But when his disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste?
Now when the disciples saw it they were angry and said, “Why this waste?
When the talmidim saw it, they became very angry. “Why this waste?” they asked.
But when his disciples saw this, they became angry and complained, “Why such a waste?
But the disciples seeing it became indignant, saying, To what end [was] this waste?
But having seen it, the disciples were indignant, saying, “For what purpose is this waste?
And the disciples seeing it, had indignation, saying: To what purpose is this waste?
The followers saw the woman do this and were upset at her. They said, “Why waste that perfume?
And when the disciples saw it, they were indignant, saying, “Why this waste?
And when the disciples saw it, they were indignant, saying, “Why this waste?
His ·followers [disciples] were ·upset [indignant] when they saw the woman do this. They asked, “Why waste that perfume?
And when his disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, What needed this waste?
The disciples were irritated when they saw this. They asked, “Why did she waste it like this?
The disciples saw this and became angry. “Why all this waste?” they asked.
When the disciples saw it, they were indignant. “Why this waste?” they asked.
His followers saw the woman do this and were upset. They asked, “Why waste that perfume?
But when the disciples saw this, they became irritated and said, “Why this waste?
Back in Bethany, while Jesus was in the house of Simon the leper, a woman came to him with an alabaster flask of most expensive perfume, and poured it on his head as he was at table. The disciples were indignant when they saw this, and said, “What is the point of such wicked waste? Couldn’t this perfume have been sold for a lot of money which could be given to the poor?” Jesus knew what they were saying and spoke to them, “Why must you make this woman feel uncomfortable? She has done a beautiful thing for me. You have the poor with you always, but you will not always have me. When she poured this perfume on my body, she was preparing it for burial. I assure you that wherever the Gospel is preached throughout the whole world, this deed of hers will also be recounted, as her memorial to me.”

The disciples were indignant. “What a waste of good money,” they said. “Why, she could have sold it for a fortune and given it to the poor.”
When Jesus was at Bethany, a guest of Simon the Leper, a woman came up to him as he was eating dinner and anointed him with a bottle of very expensive perfume. When the disciples saw what was happening, they were furious. “That’s criminal! This could have been sold for a lot and the money handed out to the poor.”
When His disciples saw it, they were indignant, saying, “For what purpose is this waste?

The disciples were irritated when they saw this. They asked, “Why did she waste it like this?

The disciples, seeing this scene, were furious. Disciples: This is an absolute waste!
But when his disciples saw this, they were indignant, saying, “Why this waste?
When the disciples saw this, they were angry. They said, `Why was the oil wasted like that?
And the disciples seeing had disdain, and said [saying], Whereto is this loss?
And having seen [it], his disciples were much displeased, saying, `To what purpose [is] this waste?
