Matthew 23:8
But be not ye called ‘Rabbi,’ for One is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.
But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your teacher, and all ye are brethren.
But do not be called Rabbi (Teacher); for One is your Teacher, and you are all [equally] brothers.
But you are not to be called rabbi (teacher), for you have one Teacher and you are all brothers.
But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.
“But you shouldn’t be called Rabbi, because you have one teacher, and all of you are brothers and sisters.
“But you are not to let yourselves be called ‘Rabbi’; because you have one Rabbi, and you are all each other’s brothers.
But none of you should be called a teacher. You have only one teacher, and all of you are like brothers and sisters.
But *ye*, be not ye called Rabbi; for one is your instructor, and all *ye* are brethren.
But you— do not be called ‘Rabbi’. For One is your Teacher, and you are all brothers.
But be not you called Rabbi. For one is your master; and all you are brethren.
“But you must not be called ‘Teacher.’ You are all equal as brothers and sisters. You have only one Teacher.
But you are not to be called rabbi, for you have one teacher, and you are all brothers.
But you are not to be called rabbi, for you have one teacher, and you are all brothers.
“But you must not be called ‘·Teacher [Rabbi],’ because you have only one Teacher, and you are all brothers and sisters together.
But be not ye called, Rabbi: for one is your doctor, to wit, Christ, and all ye are brethren.
But don’t make others call you Rabbi, because you have only one teacher, and you are all followers.
You must not be called ‘Teacher,’ because you are all equal and have only one Teacher.
“But as for you, do not be called ‘Rabbi,’ because you have one Teacher, and you are all brothers.
“But you must not be called ‘Teacher.’ You are all brothers and sisters together. You have only one Teacher.
“But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi,’ because you have only one teacher, and all of you are brothers.
Then Jesus addressed the crowds and his disciples. “The scribes and the Pharisees speak with the authority of Moses,” he told them, “so you must do what they tell you and follow their instructions. But you must not imitate their lives! For they preach but do not practise. They pile up back-breaking burdens and lay them on other men’s shoulders—yet they themselves will not raise a finger to move them. Their whole lives are planned with an eye to effect. They increase the size of their phylacteries and lengthen the tassels of their robes; they love seats of honour at dinner parties and front places in the synagogues. They love to be greeted with respect in public places and to have men call them ‘rabbi!’ Don’t you ever be called ‘rabbi’—you have only one teacher, and all of you are brothers. And don’t call any human being ‘father’—for you have one Father and he is in Heaven. And you must not let people call you ‘leaders’—you have only one leader, Christ! The only ‘superior’ among you is the one who serves the others. For every man who promotes himself will be humbled, and every man who learns to be humble will find promotion.
But, as for you, desire not to be called Rabbi, for one is your Master, the Christ; and you are all brothers.
But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.
But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.
But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi,’ because one is your teacher, and you are all brothers,
Don’t ever let anyone call you that. For only God is your Rabbi and all of you are on the same level, as brothers.
“Don’t let people do that to you, put you on a pedestal like that. You all have a single Teacher, and you are all classmates. Don’t set people up as experts over your life, letting them tell you what to do. Save that authority for God; let him tell you what to do. No one else should carry the title of ‘Father’; you have only one Father, and he’s in heaven. And don’t let people maneuver you into taking charge of them. There is only one Life-Leader for you and them—Christ.
“But do not be called ‘Rabbi,’ for you have one Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brothers.
But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi,’ for you have but one · teacher, and you are all brothers.
But don’t make others call you Rabbi, because you have only one teacher, and you are all followers.
As for you, do not be called ‘Rabbi.’ You have but one teacher, and you are all brothers.
But do not be called Rabbi; for One is your Teacher, and you are all brothers.
“But you must not be called ‘Teacher,’ because you have only one Teacher, and you are all brothers and sisters together.
But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi,’ for you have one Teacher and you are all brothers.
“But you shouldn’t be called ‘Rabbi.’ You have only one Teacher, and you are all brothers.
“But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi,’ for you have one Teacher, and you are all brothers.
‘But you are not to be called “Rabbi”, for you have one Teacher, and you are all brothers.
But you, do not be called ‘Rabbi’; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren.
“But you are not to be called teacher. There is only one Teacher, and all of you are brothers.
“Don’t let anyone call you ‘Rabbi,’ for you have only one teacher, and all of you are equal as brothers and sisters.
But you are not to be called rabbi, for you have one teacher, and you are all students.
But you are not to be called rabbi, for you have one teacher, and you are all students.
But you are not to be called rabbi, for you have one teacher, and you are all students.
But you are not to be called rabbi, for you have one teacher, and you are all students.
But you are not to have pretentious titles like Rebbe, for One is your Rebbe [Rebbe Melech HaMoshiach], and all of you are Achim b’Moshiach.
But you are not to be called rabbi, for you have one teacher, and you are all brethren.
But you are not to be called rabbi, for you have one teacher, and you are all brethren.
“But you are not to be called rabbi; for One is your Teacher, and you are all brothers.
But you: do not let anyone call you “Rabbi,” that is, “Teacher.” For you are all brothers, and you have only one teacher, the Anointed One.
But don’t you be called ‘Rabbi,’ for one is your teacher, the Christ, and all of you are brothers.
But people should not call you "Teacher". You have one Teacher. And you are all brothers.
But do not ye be called master; for one is your master, and all ye be brethren.
`And ye -- ye may not be called Rabbi, for one is your director -- the Christ, and all ye are brethren;
