“Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God only?”
Why doth this man thus speak? he blasphemeth: who can forgive sins but one, even God?
“Why does this man talk that way? He is blaspheming; who can forgive sins [remove guilt, nullify sin’s penalty, and assign righteousness] except God alone?”
Why does this Man talk like this? He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins [remove guilt, remit the penalty, and bestow righteousness instead] except God alone?
Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?
“Why does he speak like this? He’s blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
“Why does he speak this way? He’s insulting God. Only the one God can forgive sins.”
“How can this fellow say such a thing? He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins except God?”
“Why would he say such a thing? He must think he is God! Only God can forgive sins.”
Why does this [man] thus speak? he blasphemes. Who is able to forgive sins except God alone?
“Why is this One speaking in this manner? He is blaspheming. Who is able to forgive sins except One— God?”
Why doth this man speak thus? he blasphemeth. Who can forgive sins, but God only?
“Why does this man say things like that? What an insult to God! No one but God can forgive sins.”
They thought, ‘This man Jesus should not have said that. He is speaking as if he is God. Only God can forgive people for their sins.’
“Why does this fellow speak like this? He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins except God alone?”
“Why does this man speak like that? He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
“Why does this man speak like that? He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?”

Why doth this man speak such blasphemies? who can forgive sins, but God only?
“Why does he talk this way? He’s dishonoring God. Who besides God can forgive sins?”
“How does he dare talk like this? This is blasphemy! God is the only one who can forgive sins!”
“Why does He speak like this? He’s blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
“Why does this man say things like that? He is saying things that are against God. Only God can forgive sins.”
“Why does this man talk this way? He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
But some of the scribes were sitting there silently asking themselves, “Why does this man talk such blasphemy? Who can possibly forgive sins but God?”
Why does this fellow so blaspheme? Who can forgive sins but God only?
Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?
Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?
“Why does this man speak that way? He is blaspheming; who can forgive sins but God alone?”
“Why does this man speak like this? He is blaspheming! Who is able to forgive sins except God alone?”
“What? This is blasphemy! Does he think he is God? For only God can forgive sins.”
Some religion scholars sitting there started whispering among themselves, “He can’t talk that way! That’s blasphemy! God and only God can forgive sins.”
“Why does this Man speak such blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
“Why does this man speak like that? It is blasphemy! Who can forgive sins except the One God?”
“Why does he talk this way? He’s dishonoring God. Who besides God can forgive sins?”
“Why does this man speak that way? He is blaspheming. Who but God alone can forgive sins?”

“Why does this Man speak blasphemies like this? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
“Why does this Man talk like this? He is speaking as if He is God! Who can forgive sins? Only One can forgive sins and that is God!”
“What is he saying? This is blasphemy! Only God can forgive sins!”
How does this fellow so blaspheme? Who can forgive sins, but God only?
‘Why does this fellow speak in this way? It is blasphemy! Who can forgive sins but God alone?’
‘Why does this fellow speak in this way? It is blasphemy! Who can forgive sins but God alone?’
“Why does this fellow speak in this way? It is blasphemy! Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
“Why does this fellow speak in this way? It is blasphemy! Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
“It’s blasphemy! Who can forgive sins except God?”
Why is this one speaking thus? He is guilty of Chillul Hashem gidduf (Desecration of the Name, blasphemy). Who is able to grant selicha (forgiveness) to averos (sins) except Hashem? [YESHAYAH 43:25]
“Why does this man speak such blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God only?”
“Why does this man speak thus? It is blasphemy! Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
“Why does this man speak thus? It is blasphemy! Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
“Why does this fellow speak like this? He blasphemes! Who can pardon sins but God alone?”
Some scribes were sitting in the crowd, and they didn’t like what they were hearing. Scribes (reasoning to themselves): What does this Jesus think He is doing? This kind of talk is blasphemy, an offense against the Most High! Only God can forgive sins.
“Why does this man speak blasphemies like that? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
They were thinking, `Why does this man say such wrong things against God? He is not giving God respect! Who can forgive the wrong things people do? No one but God can do that.'
What speaketh he thus? He blasphemeth; who may forgive sins, but God alone?
`Why doth this one thus speak evil words? who is able to forgive sins except one -- God?'
