And they brought Him unto the place called Golgotha (which is, being interpreted, The Place of a Skull).

And the passers-by jeered at him, shaking their heads in mockery, saying, “Hi, you! You could destroy the Temple and build it up again in three days, why not come down from the cross and save yourself?”
¶ And they brought him unto the place of Golgotha, which is, being interpreted, The place of a skull.

The soldiers brought Jesus to Golgotha, meaning “Skull Hill.” They offered him a mild painkiller (wine mixed with myrrh), but he wouldn’t take it. And they nailed him to the cross. They divided up his clothes and threw dice to see who would get them.
They brought Him to the place called Golgotha, which means, “Place of a Skull.”

And they led him into a place Golgatha, that is to say, the place of Calvary. [And they led him into the place of Golgatha, that is interpreted, the place of Calvary.]
