“Now learn a parable of the fig tree: When her branch is yet tender and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near.

“Learn this parable from the fig tree. After its branch becomes tender and it sprouts new leaves, you know that summer is near.
“Now let the fig tree teach you its lesson: when its branches begin to sprout and leaves appear, you know that summer is approaching.
Learn a lesson from a fig tree. When its branches sprout and start putting out leaves, you know summer is near.
But learn the parable from the fig-tree: when its branch already becomes tender and puts forth the leaves, ye know that the summer is near.
“Now learn the parable from the fig tree: when its branch already becomes tender and grows-out its leaves, you know that the summer is near.
Now of the fig tree learn ye a parable. When the branch thereof is now tender, and the leaves are come forth, you know that summer is very near.
“The fig tree teaches us a lesson: When its branches become green and soft, and new leaves begin to grow, then you know that summer is very near.
“From the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near.
“From the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near.
“Learn a ·lesson [parable; analogy] from the fig tree: When its branches ·become green and soft [become tender; sprout] and new leaves appear, you know summer is near.

“Let the fig-tree illustrate this for you: when its branches grow tender and produce leaves, you know that summer is near, at your very doors! I tell you that this generation will not have passed until all these things have come true. Earth and sky will pass away, but what I have told you will never pass away! But no one knows the day or the hour of this happening, not even the angels in Heaven, no, not even the Son—only the Father. Keep your eyes open, keep on the alert, for you do not know when the time will be.

“Now, here is a lesson from a fig tree. When its buds become tender and its leaves begin to sprout, you know that spring has come.
“Take a lesson from the fig tree. From the moment you notice its buds form, the merest hint of green, you know summer’s just around the corner. And so it is with you. When you see all these things, you know he is at the door. Don’t take this lightly. I’m not just saying this for some future generation, but for this one, too—these things will happen. Sky and earth will wear out; my words won’t wear out.
“Now learn a parable of the fig tree: When her branch is yet tender and puts outs leaves, you know that summer is near.
“Now from the fig tree learn its parable: As soon as · its bough becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near. ·

Jesus: Learn this lesson from the fig tree: When its branch is new and tender and begins to put forth leaves, you know that summer must be near.
“Now from the fig tree, learn this parable. When the branch has now become tender, and produces its leaves, you know that the summer is near;
`Learn a lesson from the fig tree. As soon as its branches begin to grow and the leaves come, then you know it will soon be the warm time of the year.
But of the fig tree learn ye the parable [Forsooth of the fig tree learn ye a parable]. When now his branch is tender, and leaves be sprung out, ye know that summer is nigh.
`And from the fig-tree learn ye the simile: when the branch may already become tender, and may put forth the leaves, ye know that nigh is the summer;
