Then came also publicans to be baptized, and said unto him, “Master, what shall we do?”
And there came also publicans to be baptized, and they said unto him, Teacher, what must we do?
Even some tax collectors came to be baptized, and they asked, “Teacher, what are we to do?”

Even the tax collectors came to John. They wanted to be baptized. They said to him, “Teacher, what should we do?”
In the crowd, there were men who took taxes from people. These men also wanted John to baptize them. They asked him, ‘Teacher, what should we do?’

Some tax collectors were among those in the crowd seeking baptism. Tax Collectors: Teacher, what kind of fruit is God looking for from us?

And [the] publicans came to be baptized; and they said to him, Master, what shall we do?
