The land shall not be sold for ever, for the land is Mine; for ye are strangers and sojourners with Me.

“The land is not to be permanently sold because it is mine, and you are only aliens and temporary residents on my land.
The land must not be permanently sold because the land is mine. You are just immigrants and foreign guests of mine.
“‘The land is not to be sold in perpetuity, because the land belongs to me — you are only foreigners and temporary residents with me.
No land may be permanently bought or sold. It all belongs to me—it isn't your land, and you only live there for a little while.
And the land shall not be sold for ever; for the land is mine; for ye are strangers and sojourners with me.

The people must never sell the land for all time. The land belongs to God. He has said that the people can live on it.
But the land must not be sold without a right to recover it, for the land really belongs to me. You are actually resident aliens under my authority.
“The land shall not be sold in perpetuity, for the land is mine. For you are strangers and sojourners with me.

“‘The land really belongs to me, so you can’t sell it ·for all time [in perpetuity]. You are only ·foreigners [sojourners; wanderers; resident aliens] and ·travelers living for a while on my land [L tenants with me].
¶ Also the land shall not be sold to be cut off from the family: for the land is mine, and ye be but strangers and sojourners with me.
“Land must never be sold permanently, because the land is mine. To me you are strangers without permanent homes.
Your land must not be sold on a permanent basis, because you do not own it; it belongs to God, and you are like foreigners who are allowed to make use of it.
“The land is not to be permanently sold because it is Mine, and you are only foreigners and temporary residents on My land.
“‘The land really belongs to me. So you can’t sell it forever. You are only foreigners and travelers living for a time on my land.
“The land is not to be sold with any finality, because the land belongs to me. You’re sojourners and travelers with me.
¶ The land shall not be sold for ever, for the land is mine; for ye are strangers and sojourners with me.

‘The land will not be sold to be kept forever. For the land is Mine. You are only strangers staying with Me.
