Letter of Jeremiah 24

They are purchased at great cost, but there is no breath in them.
As for the gold that they wear for beauty—it will not shine unless someone wipes off the tarnish; for even when they were being cast, they did not feel it.
They are bought without regard to cost, but there is no breath in them.
As for the gold which they wear for beauty—they will not shine unless some one wipes off the rust; for even when they were being cast, they had no feeling.
Also the gold which they have, is to (or for) (their) fairness; no but some man wipe away the rust, they shall not shine. For they (even) feeled (it) not, the while those were welled together [or Forsooth neither (even) the while they were molten together, they feeled (it)].
