And the people repented for Benjamin, because the Lord had made a breach in the tribes of Israel.
And the people repented them for Benjamin, because that Jehovah had made a breach in the tribes of Israel.
And the people were sorry [and had compassion] for [the survivors of the tribe of] Benjamin because the Lord had made a gap in the tribes of Israel.
And the people had compassion on Benjamin, because the Lord had made a breach in the tribes of Israel.

Since the people had a change of heart concerning the Benjaminites because the Lord had caused a rupture in the tribes of Israel,
The people were still sorry for Binyamin because Adonai had made a division among the tribes of Isra’el.
The Israelites were very sad, because the Lord had almost wiped out one of their tribes.
And the people repented them for Benjamin, because Jehovah had made a breach in the tribes of Israel.
And all Israel was very sorry, and repented for the destroying of one tribe out of Israel.
The Israelites felt sorry for the men of Benjamin. They felt sorry for them because the Lord had separated them from the other tribes of Israel.
And the people had compassion on Benjamin because the Lord had made a breach in the tribes of Israel.
And the people had compassion on Benjamin because the Lord had made a breach in the tribes of Israel.

The people were very sad because of what had happened to the tribe of Benjamin. The Lord had left a gap in the tribes of Israel. They weren’t complete without Benjamin.
The people grieved for Benjamin, because the Lord had made a gap in the tribes of Israel.

The people of Israel were filled with pity for the people of Benjamin, since the Eternal had separated them from their brothers of Israel.
The people grieved for Benjamin, because Yahweh had made a breach in the tribes of Israel.
And all Israel sorrowed greatly, and did penance on the slaying of one lineage of Israel. (And all Israel greatly sorrowed, and had great remorse, or regret, over the killing of one of the tribes of Israel.)
And the people repented concerning Benjamin, for Jehovah had made a breach among the tribes of Israel.
