Job 35:13
Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it.
Surely God will not hear an empty cry, Neither will the Almighty regard it.
“Surely God will not listen to an empty cry [which lacks trust], Nor will the Almighty regard it.
Surely God will refuse to answer [the cry which is] vanity (vain and empty—instead of abiding trust); neither will the Almighty regard it—
Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it.
God certainly doesn’t respond to a deceitful cry; the Almighty doesn’t pay attention to it.
For God will not listen to empty cries; Shaddai pays no attention to them.
If God All-Powerful refuses to answer their empty prayers,
Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it.
God therefore will not hear in vain, and the Almighty will look into the causes of every one.
God will not listen to their worthless begging. God All-Powerful will not pay attention to them.
Surely God does not hear an empty cry, nor does the Almighty regard it.
Surely God does not hear an empty cry, nor does the Almighty regard it.
God does not listen to their useless begging; the Almighty pays no attention to them.
Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it.
“Surely, God doesn’t listen to idle complaints. The Almighty doesn’t even pay attention to them.
It is useless for them to cry out; Almighty God does not see or hear them.
Indeed, God does not listen to empty cries, and the Almighty does not take note of it—
He does not listen to their useless begging. God All-Powerful pays no attention to them.
Theirs is a useless plea— God won’t listen; the Almighty won’t pay any attention.
Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty look upon it.
Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it.
Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it.
“Surely God does not hear an empty plea, and Shaddai does not regard it.
But it is false to say he doesn’t hear those cries;
“When times get bad, people cry out for help. They cry for relief from being kicked around, But never give God a thought when things go well, when God puts spontaneous songs in their hearts, When God sets out the entire creation as a science classroom, using birds and beasts to teach wisdom. People are arrogantly indifferent to God— until, of course, they’re in trouble, and then God is indifferent to them. There’s nothing behind such prayers except panic; the Almighty pays them no mind. So why would he notice you just because you say you’re tired of waiting to be heard, Or waiting for him to get good and angry and do something about the world’s problems?
Surely God will not hear vanity, nor will the Almighty regard it.
“Surely, El doesn’t listen to idle complaints. Shadday doesn’t even pay attention to them.
But it is idle to say God does not hear or that the Almighty does not take notice.
“Surely God will not listen to an empty cry, Nor will the Almighty regard it.
God does not listen to their useless begging; the Almighty pays no attention to them.
Surely it is an empty cry—God does not hear it; the Almighty does not take notice of it.
In fact, God doesn’t listen to their empty cries. The Mighty One doesn’t pay any attention to them.
Indeed, God does not listen to their empty plea; the Almighty pays no attention to it.
Indeed, God does not listen to their empty plea; the Almighty pays no attention to it.
Surely God will not listen to empty talk, Nor will the Almighty regard it.
For sure God will not listen to an empty cry. The All-powerful will not do anything about it.
But it is wrong to say God doesn’t listen, to say the Almighty isn’t concerned.
Surely God does not hear an empty cry, nor does the Almighty regard it.
Surely God does not hear an empty cry, nor does the Almighty regard it.
Surely God does not hear an empty cry, nor does the Almighty regard it.
Surely God does not hear an empty cry, nor does the Almighty regard it.
Surely El will not hear shav (vanity), neither will Shaddai regard it.
Surely God does not hear an empty cry, nor does the Almighty regard it.
Surely God does not hear an empty cry, nor does the Almighty regard it.
Indeed God does not hear an empty cry; Shaddai pays no attention to it.
Indeed, God does not hear the vain and empty cry, nor does the Highest One pay it any mind.
Surely God will not hear an empty cry, neither will the Almighty regard it.
For God shall not hear without cause, and Almighty God shall behold the causes of each man. (For God shall not listen to vanity, that is, to vain, or empty, things, nor shall Almighty God consider the importuning of these people.)
Surely vanity God doth not hear, And the Mighty doth not behold it.
