Job 24:19
Drought and heat consume the snow waters; so doth the grave those who have sinned.
Drought and heat consume the snow waters: So doth Sheol those that have sinned.
“Drought and heat consume the snow waters; So does Sheol (the nether world, the place of the dead) [consume] those who have sinned.
Drought and heat consume the snow waters; so does Sheol (the place of the dead) those who have sinned.
Drought and heat consume the snow waters: so doth the grave those which have sinned.
Drought and heat steal melted snow, just as the underworld steals sinners.
may drought and heat steal away their snow water and Sh’ol those who have sinned.
Just as the heat of summer swallows the snow, the world of the dead swallows those who sin.
Drought and heat consume snow waters; so doth Sheol those that have sinned.
Let him pass from the snow waters to excessive heat, and his sin even to hell.
As hot, dry weather melts away the winter snows, so the grave takes away those who have sinned.
Drought and heat snatch away the snow waters; so does Sheol those who have sinned.
Drought and heat snatch away the snow waters; so does Sheol those who have sinned.
As ·heat and dryness [the desert and heat] ·quickly melt the snow [L steal away the snow waters], so ·the grave [L Sheol] quickly takes away the sinners.
As the dry ground and heat consume the snow waters, so shall the grave the sinners.
Just as drought and heat steal water from snow, so the grave steals people who sin.
As snow vanishes in heat and drought, so sinners vanish from the land of the living.
As dry ground and heat snatch away the melted snow, so Sheol steals those who have sinned.
Heat and dryness quickly take away the melted snow. In the same way, the place for the dead quickly takes away those who have sinned.
As drought and heat evaporate melting snow, that’s what Sheol does with sinners.
Drought and heat consume the snow waters; so does Sheol consume those who have sinned.
Drought and heat consume the snow waters: so doth the grave those which have sinned.
Drought and heat consume the snow waters: so doth the grave those which have sinned.
Drought and heat snatch away the snow waters, like Sheol snatches away those who have sinned.
Death consumes sinners as drought and heat consume snow.
“They are scraps of wood floating on the water— useless, cursed junk, good for nothing. As surely as snow melts under the hot, summer sun, sinners disappear in the grave. The womb has forgotten them, worms have relished them— nothing that is evil lasts. Unscrupulous, they prey on those less fortunate. However much they strut and flex their muscles, there’s nothing to them. They’re hollow. They may have an illusion of security, but God has his eye on them. They may get their brief successes, but then it’s over, nothing to show for it. Like yesterday’s newspaper, they’re used to wrap up the garbage. You’re free to try to prove me a liar, but you won’t be able to do it.”
Drought and heat consume the snow waters; so the grave consumes those who have sinned.
Just as drought and heat steal water from snow, so the grave steals people who sin.
Drought and heat snatch away the snow waters, Sheol, those who have sinned.
“Drought and heat consume the snow waters, So does Sheol those who have sinned.
As heat and dryness quickly melt the snow, so the grave quickly takes away the sinners.
The drought as well as the heat carry away the melted snow; so the grave takes away those who have sinned.
Melted snow disappears when the air is hot and dry. And sinners disappear when they go down into their graves.
As heat and drought snatch away the melted snow, so the grave snatches away those who have sinned.
As heat and drought snatch away the melted snow, so the grave snatches away those who have sinned.
As drought and heat consume the snow waters, So the grave consumes those who have sinned.
Dry weather and heat take away the water from the snow, just as the place of the dead takes away those who have sinned.
The grave consumes sinners just as drought and heat consume snow.
Drought and heat snatch away the snow waters; so does Sheol those who have sinned.
Drought and heat snatch away the snow-waters; so does Sheol those who have sinned.
Drought and heat snatch away the snow-waters; so does Sheol those who have sinned.
Drought and heat snatch away the snow waters; so does Sheol those who have sinned.
Drought and heat consume the snow waters; so doth Sheol those which have sinned.
Drought and heat snatch away the snow waters; so does Sheol those who have sinned.
Drought and heat snatch away the snow waters; so does Sheol those who have sinned.
As heat and drought snatch away the melted snow, so Sheol, takes away those who have sinned.
Just as summer’s heat and drought melt and carry off the winter snow, the land of the dead digests and carries away sinners.
Drought and heat consume the snow waters, so does Sheol those who have sinned.
Pass he to a full great heat from the waters of snows, and the sin of him till to hells. (Like a great heat taketh away the waters of the snow, so let Sheol, or the grave, take him away.)
Drought -- also heat -- consume snow-waters, Sheol [those who] have sinned.
