They that come after him shall be dismayed at his day, as they that went before were frightened.
They that come after shall be astonished at his day, As they that went before were affrighted.
“Those in the west are astonished and appalled at his fate, And those in the east are seized with horror.
They [of the west] that come after [the wicked man] shall be astonished and appalled at his day, as they [of the east] that went before were seized with horror.
They that come after him shall be astonied at his day, as they that went before were affrighted.
Those in the west are appalled at his fate, while those in the east tremble in horror.
Their successors are appalled at what happens to them; their predecessors pull their hair.
Those who come after will be appalled at his fate, just as those there before were struck with horror.
Everyone, from east to west, is overwhelmed with horror.
They that come after shall be astonished at his day, as they that went before [them] were affrighted.
They that come after him shall be astonished at his day, and horror shall fall upon them that went before.
People in the west will be shocked at what happened to them. People in the east will be numb with fear.
All people are very upset when they see what has happened to him. Wherever they live, they are very upset.
People in the west shudder at his fate. People in the east are overcome with horror.
They of the west are appalled at his day, and horror seizes them of the east.
They of the west are appalled at his day, and horror seizes them of the east.
People ·of the west [or who come after] will be ·shocked [desolated] ·at what has happened to them [by their end/fate], and people ·of the east [or who came before] will be ·very frightened [seized with horror].
The posterity shall be astonied at his day, and fear shall come upon the ancient.
People in the west are shocked by what happens to him. People in the east are seized with horror.
From east to west, all who hear of their fate shudder and tremble with fear.
Those in the west are appalled at his fate, while those in the east tremble in horror.
People of the west are shocked at what has happened to him. People of the east are very frightened.
People who live west of him are appalled at his fate; those who live east of him are seized with terror.
Those that come after him shall be dismayed at his day, as those that went before were overcome with fear.
They that come after him shall be astonied at his day, as they that went before were affrighted.
They that come after him shall be astonied at his day, as they that went before were affrighted.
Those in the west are appalled at his fate, And those in the east are seized with horror.
Those of the west are appalled over his fate, and those of the east are seized with horror.
Old and young alike will be horrified by his fate.
“Here’s the rule: The light of the wicked is put out. Their flame dies down and is extinguished. Their house goes dark— every lamp in the place goes out. Their strong strides weaken, falter; they stumble into their own traps. They get all tangled up in their own red tape, Their feet are grabbed and caught, their necks in a noose. They trip on ropes they’ve hidden, and fall into pits they’ve dug themselves. Terrors come at them from all sides. They run dazed and confused. The hungry grave is ready to gobble them up for supper, To lay them out for a gourmet meal, a treat for ravenous Death. They are snatched from their home sweet home and marched straight to the death house. Their lives go up in smoke; acid rain soaks their ruins. Their roots rot and their branches wither. They’ll never again be remembered— nameless in unmarked graves. They are plunged from light into darkness, banished from the world. And they leave empty-handed—not one single child— nothing to show for their life on this earth. Westerners are aghast at their fate, easterners are horrified: ‘Oh no! So this is what happens to perverse people. This is how the God-ignorant end up!’”

Those who come after shall be appalled at his fate; those who went before are seized with horror.
Those in the west are appalled at his fate, And those in the east are seized with horror.

Inhabitants of the west are appalled at his fate, while those of the east are struck with horror.
People of the west will be shocked at what has happened to them, and people of the east will be very frightened.
People of the west are appalled at his fate; people of the east are seized with horror, saying,
What has happened to them shocks the people in the west. It terrifies the people in the east.
People of the west are appalled at his fate; those of the east are seized with horror.
People of the west are appalled at his fate; those of the east are seized with horror.
Those in the west are astonished at his day, As those in the east are frightened.
Those in the west are surprised and afraid at what happened to him. And those in the east are filled with fear.
People in the west are appalled at their fate; people in the east are horrified.
They of the west are appalled at their fate, and horror seizes those of the east.
They of the west are appalled at their fate, and horror seizes those of the east.
They of the west are appalled at their fate, and horror seizes those of the east.

The acharonim shall be astonished at his yom, as the kadmonim were affrighted.

His fate is unanimously viewed: with dismay in the West, with horror in the East.
Those who come after will be astonished at his day, as those who went before were frightened.
The last men (of him) shall wonder in his days; and hideousness shall assail the first men. (The people who come after him shall wonder at his day; just as horror assailed those who came before him.)
At this day westerns have been astonished And easterns have taken fright.
