“Who is this like the Nile in flood? like its streams torrential? Why, it’s Egypt like the Nile in flood, like its streams torrential, Saying, ‘I’ll take over the world. I’ll wipe out cities and peoples.’ Run, horses! Roll, chariots! Advance, soldiers from Cush and Put with your shields, Soldiers from Lud, experts with bow and arrow.
Go ahead and charge into battle, you horsemen! Drive furiously, you charioteers! Let the soldiers march out into battle, those from Ethiopia and Libya who carry shields, and those from Lydia who are armed with the bow.
Charge, O horses; go up into the fray! Let your chariots madly rush in! March, mighty warriors, summoned to war. Soldiers of Ethiopia and Libya who carry shields, archers of Ludim who bend the bow, march to your defeat!
Ascend ye upon horses, and make ye full out joy in chariots (Go ye upon horses, and rejoice, or shout, ye in the chariots); and strong men, come forth, Ethiopia and Libya, holding shield, and Lydia, taking and shooting arrows.
