Jeremiah 31:22
How long wilt thou go about, O thou backsliding daughter? For the Lord hath created a new thing in the earth: a woman shall compass a man.”
How long wilt thou go hither and thither, O thou backsliding daughter? for Jehovah hath created a new thing in the earth: A woman shall encompass a man.
“How long will you hesitate [to return], O you faithless and renegade daughter? For the Lord has created a new thing in the land [of Israel]: A woman will encompass (tenderly love) a man.”
How long will you waver and hesitate [to return], O you backsliding daughter? For the Lord has created a new thing in the land [of Israel]: a female shall compass (woo, win, and protect) a man.
How long wilt thou go about, O thou backsliding daughter? for the Lord hath created a new thing in the earth, A woman shall compass a man.
How long will you turn here and there, faithless daughter? For the Lord creates something new in the land— a female will shelter a man.
How long will you hem and haw, my rebellious daughter? The Lord has created something new on earth: Virgin Israel will once again embrace her God!
Here is what Adonai-Tzva’ot, the God of Isra’el, says: “This expression will be used again in the land of Y’hudah and its cities after I have returned their exiles: ‘May Adonai bless you, home of justice, holy mountain!’
Will you ever decide to be faithful? I will make sure that someday things will be different, as different as a woman protecting a man.

How long wilt thou be dissolute in deliciousness, O wandering daughter? for the Lord hath created a new thing upon the earth: A WOMAN SHALL COMPASS A MAN.
Unfaithful daughter, how long will you wander around? “The Lord has created something new in the land: A woman surrounding a man.”
You went away from me, like a daughter who refuses to obey her father. Do not continue to turn away from me. I, the Lord, promise to do a new thing. Women will take care of men!’

How long will you hesitate, faithless people? I have created something new and different, as different as a woman protecting a man.”
How long will you turn here and there, faithless daughter? For the Lord creates something new in the land— a female will shelter a man.
You are an unfaithful daughter. How long will you wander before you come home? The Lord will make something new happen in the land: A woman will go seeking a man.”
How long will you go this way and that, rebellious daughter? Indeed, the Lord will create a new thing on the earth; a woman will protect a man.

How long will you vacillate, O wayward daughter? For the Lord will cause something new and different to happen—Israel will search for God.
“Set up signposts to mark your trip home. Get a good map. Study the road conditions. The road out is the road back. Come back, dear virgin Israel, come back to your hometowns. How long will you flit here and there, indecisive? How long before you make up your fickle mind? God will create a new thing in this land: A transformed woman will embrace the transforming God!” * * *
How long will you go about, O faithless daughter? For the Lord has created a new thing in the earth: A woman shall obtain a man.
How long will you wander around, you unfaithful people? Yahweh will create something new on earth: A woman will protect a man.
How long will you continue to hesitate, rebellious daughter? The Lord has created a new thing upon the earth: woman encompasses man.
How long will you waver, You rebellious daughter? For the Lord has created a new thing on the earth: A woman will shelter a man.”

How long will you vacillate, you who were once like an unfaithful daughter? For I, the Lord, promise to bring about something new on the earth, something as unique as a woman protecting a man!’”
How long will you wander, my people Israel, who are not faithful to me? I will create a new thing on earth. The woman will return to the man.”

Thus says Adonai-Tzva’ot, the God of Israel: “Yet again will they use this expression in the land of Judah and in its cities, when I will return them from exile: ‘Adonai bless you, O dwelling of righteousness, O mountain of holiness.’
How long will you drift this way and that, My renegade daughter? Take heart—for now the Eternal will do a new thing on the earth: a woman will surround a man.
How long will you go here and there, you backsliding daughter? For Yahweh has created a new thing in the earth: a woman will encompass a man.”
How long, daughter of unsteadfast dwelling, art thou made dissolute in delights? for the Lord hath made a new thing on earth, a woman shall compass a man (for the Lord hath made something new on the earth, a woman shall go about, or shall protect, a man).
Till when dost thou withdraw thyself, O backsliding daughter? For Jehovah hath prepared a new thing in the land, Woman doth compass man.
