Jeremiah 17:16
As for me, I have not hastened from being a pastor to follow Thee; neither have I desired the woeful day, Thou knowest; that which came out of my lips was right before Thee.
As for me, I have not hastened from being a shepherd after thee; neither have I desired the woeful day; thou knowest: that which came out of my lips was before thy face.
But as for me, I have not tried to escape from being a shepherd [walking] after You, Nor have I longed for the woeful day [of judgment]; You know that, whatever I said Was [spoken] in Your presence and was from You.
But as for me, I have not sought to escape from being a shepherd after You, nor have I desired the woeful day [of judgment]; You know that. Whatever I said was spoken in Your presence and was from You.
As for me, I have not hastened from being a pastor to follow thee: neither have I desired the woeful day; thou knowest: that which came out of my lips was right before thee.
Yet I didn’t urge you to bring disaster; I didn’t want the calamity to happen. You know what comes out of my mouth; it’s always before you.
As for me, I have not run away from being a shepherd who follows you; you know I didn’t want this fatal day; what came from my lips has been clear to you.
Our Lord, you chose me to care for your people, and that’s what I have done. You know everything I have said, and I have never once asked you to punish them.
But as for me, I have not hastened from being a shepherd in following thee, neither have I desired the fatal day, thou knowest: that which came out of my lips was before thy face.
And I am not troubled, following thee for my pastor, and I have not desired the day of man, thou knowest. That which went out of my lips, hath been right in thy sight.
Lord, I did not run away from you. I followed you. I became the shepherd you wanted. I did not want the terrible day to come. You know what I said. You see all that is happening.
I have not run away from being your shepherd, nor have I desired the day of sickness. You know what came out of my lips; it was before your face.

But I have not thrust in myself for a pastor after thee, neither have I desired the day of misery, thou knowest that which came out of my lips was right before thee.
I have not run away from being your shepherd, and I have not longed for the day of destruction. You know what came out of my mouth.
But, Lord, I never urged you to bring disaster on them; I did not wish a time of trouble for them. Lord, you know this; you know what I have said.
But I have not run away from being Your shepherd, and I have not longed for the fatal day. You know my words were spoken in Your presence.

But I, I have not run away from being a shepherd who follows you, and I have not desired the disastrous day. You, you know the pronouncement of my lips, it was before your face.
Lord, I don’t want the people crushed by terrible calamity. The plan is yours, not mine. It is your message I’ve given them, not my own. I don’t want them doomed!
God, pick up the pieces. Put me back together again. You are my praise! Listen to how they talk about me: “So where’s this ‘Word of God’? We’d like to see something happen!” But it wasn’t my idea to call for Doomsday. I never wanted trouble. You know what I’ve said. It’s all out in the open before you. Don’t add to my troubles. Give me some relief! Let those who harass me be harassed, not me. Let them be disgraced, not me. Bring down upon them the day of doom. Lower the boom. Boom!
As for me, I have not hurried away from being a shepherd after You, nor have I desired the woeful day; You Yourself know that which came out of my lips was in Your presence.
I have not run away from being your shepherd, and I have not longed for the day of destruction. You know what came out of my mouth.
Yet I did not press you to send disaster; the day without remedy I have not desired. You know what passed my lips; it is present before you.
But as for me, I have not hurried away from being a shepherd after You, Nor have I longed for the woeful day; You Yourself know that the utterance of my lips Was in Your presence.

I haven’t run away from being the shepherd of your people. You know I haven’t wanted the day of Jerusalem’s fall to come. You are aware of every word that comes from my lips.
