Ecclesiastes 5:9
Moreover the profit of the earth is for all; the king himself is served by the field.
Moreover the profit of the earth is for all: the king himself is served by the field.
After all, a king who cultivates the field is an advantage to the land.
Moreover, the profit of the earth is for all; the king himself is served by the field and in all, a king is an advantage to a land with cultivated fields.
¶ Moreover the profit of the earth is for all: the king himself is served by the field.
But the land’s yield should be for everyone if the field is cultivated.
The lover of money never has enough money; the lover of luxury never has enough income. This too is pointless.
And since the king is the highest official, he benefits most from the taxes paid on the land.
Moreover the earth is every way profitable: the king [himself] is dependent upon the field.
A covetous man shall not be satisfied with money: and he that loveth riches shall reap no fruit from them: so this also is vanity.
Even the king is a slave—his country owns him.
But this is gain for a land in every way: a king committed to cultivated fields.
But this is gain for a land in every way: a king committed to cultivated fields.
The ·wealth of the country [profit of the land] is ·divided up among them [L taken by] all. Even the king ·makes sure he gets his share of the profits [L benefits from the field].
He that loveth silver, shall not be satisfied with silver, and he that loveth riches, shall be without the fruit thereof: this is also vanity.
Yet, a king is an advantage for a country with cultivated fields.
Even a king depends on the harvest.
The profit from the land is taken by all; the king is served by the field.
The wealth of the country is divided up among them all. Even the king makes sure he gets his share of the profits.
Also, the increase of the land belongs to everyone; the king himself is served by his field.
¶ And there is higher authority in all of the things of the earth, but he who serves the field is king.
Moreover the profit of the earth is for all: the king himself is served by the field.
Moreover the profit of the earth is for all: the king himself is served by the field.
The produce of the land is exploited by everyone; even the king profits from the field of the poor!
And over them all is the king. Oh, for a king who is devoted to his country! Only he can bring order from this chaos.
Don’t be too upset when you see the poor kicked around, and justice and right violated all over the place. Exploitation filters down from one petty official to another. There’s no end to it, and nothing can be done about it. But the good earth doesn’t cheat anyone—even a bad king is honestly served by a field.
But this is an advantage to the land in every way, like a king committed to a cultivated field.
Yet, a king is an advantage for a country with cultivated fields.
The covetous are never satisfied with money, nor lovers of wealth with their gain; so this too is vanity.
After all, a king who cultivates the field is an advantage to the land.
The wealth of the country is divided up among them all. Even the king makes sure he gets his share of the profits.
The produce of the land is seized by all of them, even the king is served by the fields.
All of them take what the land produces. And the king himself takes his share from the fields.
The increase from the land is taken by all; the king himself profits from the fields.
The increase from the land is taken by all; the king himself profits from the fields.
Moreover the profit of the land is for all; even the king is served from the field.
After all, a country does better with a king in power.
Even the king milks the land for his own profit!
But all things considered, this is an advantage for a land: a king for a plowed field.
But all things considered, this is an advantage for a land: a king for a ploughed field.
But all things considered, this is an advantage for a land: a king for a ploughed field.
But all things considered, this is an advantage for a land: a king for a plowed field.
Moreover the profit of eretz is for all; Melech himself is served by the sadeh.
But in all, a king is an advantage to a land with cultivated fields.
But in all, a king is an advantage to a land with cultivated fields.
A lover of money never has enough money, and a lover of wealth is never satisfied with his income. This too is futile.
Still, it is better for the land in every way to have a king who cultivates the fields.
Moreover the profit of the earth is for all. The king profits from the field.
and furthermore the king of all (the) earth commandeth to the servant. (and ultimately the King of all the earth commandeth to all his servants.)
And the abundance of a land is for all. A king for a field is served.
