Deuteronomy 24:16
“The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.

Moses said to Israel: Parents must not be put to death for crimes committed by their children, and children must not be put to death for crimes committed by their parents. Don’t put anyone to death for someone else’s crime.

¶ The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, nor the children put to death for the fathers, but every man shall be put to death for his own sin.
