Deuteronomy 21:3
And it shall be that the city which is next unto the slain man, even the elders of that city shall take a heifer which hath not been worked and which hath not drawn in the yoke;
and it shall be, that the city which is nearest unto the slain man, even the elders of that city shall take a heifer of the herd, which hath not been wrought with, and which hath not drawn in the yoke;
It shall be that the elders of the city which is nearest to the dead man shall take a heifer of the herd, one which has not been worked and which has not pulled in a yoke;
And the city which is nearest to the slain man, the elders of that city shall take a heifer which has never been worked, never pulled in the yoke,
And it shall be, that the city which is next unto the slain man, even the elders of that city shall take an heifer, which hath not been wrought with, and which hath not drawn in the yoke;
Once it is determined which city is closest to the dead body, its elders must take a young cow that hasn’t been used or yet pulled a plow,
After it has been determined which town is the closest, the leaders of that town are to take a young female cow that has never been put to work or yoked for use as a draft animal.
The leaders from that town will go to their cattle herds and choose a young cow that has never been put to work.
and the city that is nearest unto him that is slain, even the elders of that city shall take a heifer that hath not been wrought with, that hath not drawn in the yoke;
And the ancients of that city which they shall perceive to be nearer than the rest, shall take a heifer of the herd, that hath not drawn in the yoke, nor ploughed the ground,
When you learn which town is nearest to the dead body, the leaders of that town must take a cow from their herds. It must be a cow that never had a calf and that has never been used for work.
And the elders of the city that is nearest to the slain man shall take a heifer that has never been worked and that has not pulled in a yoke.
And the elders of the city that is nearest to the slain man shall take a heifer that has never been worked and that has not pulled in a yoke.
The elders of the city nearest the body must take a ·young cow [heifer] that has never worked or ·worn [L pulled] a yoke,
And let the Elders of that city, which is next unto the slain man, take out of the drove an heifer that hath not been put to labor, nor hath drawn in the yoke.
When it has been determined which city is nearest the body, the leaders from that city must choose a heifer that has never been put to work and never worn a yoke.
Then the leaders of the town nearest to where the body was found are to select a young cow that has never been used for work.
The elders of the city nearest to the victim are to get a young cow that has not been yoked or used for work.
The elders of the city nearest the body are responsible. They must take a young cow that has never worked or worn a yoke.
Then the elders of the city nearest the body are to take a heifer that hasn’t been put to work or hasn’t pulled a yoke
and it shall be that the elders of the city which is next unto the dead man shall take a heifer, which has not served, and which has not drawn in the yoke;
And it shall be, that the city which is next unto the slain man, even the elders of that city shall take an heifer, which hath not been wrought with, and which hath not drawn in the yoke;
and it shall be, that the city which is next unto the slain man, even the elders of that city shall take an heifer, which hath not been wrought with, and which hath not drawn in the yoke;
And then the nearest city to the slain one, the elders of that city shall take a heifer of the herd that has not been worked with in the field, that has not pulled a yoke,
Then the elders of that city shall take a heifer that has never been yoked,
If a dead body is found on the ground, this ground that God, your God, has given you, lying out in the open, and no one knows who killed him, your leaders and judges are to go out and measure the distance from the body to the nearest cities. The leaders and judges of the city that is nearest the corpse will then take a heifer that has never been used for work, never had a yoke on it. The leaders will take the heifer to a valley with a stream, a valley that has never been plowed or planted, and there break the neck of the heifer. The Levitical priests will then step up. God has chosen them to serve him in these matters by settling legal disputes and violent crimes and by pronouncing blessings in God’s name. Finally, all the leaders of that town that is nearest the body will wash their hands over the heifer that had its neck broken at the stream and say, “We didn’t kill this man and we didn’t see who did it. Purify your people Israel whom you redeemed, O God. Clear your people Israel from any guilt in this murder.”
And it must be, that the city which is closest to the slain man, that is, the elders of that city shall take a heifer which has not been worked, that has never pulled in yoke,
When it has been determined which city is nearest the body, the leaders from that city must choose a heifer that has never been put to work and never worn a yoke.
When it is established which city is nearest the corpse, the elders of that city shall take a heifer that has never been put to work or worn a yoke;
It shall be that the city which is nearest to the slain man, that is, the elders of that city, shall take a heifer of the herd, which has not been worked and which has not pulled in a yoke;
The elders of the city nearest the body must take a young cow that has never worked or worn a yoke,
Then the elders of the city nearest to the corpse must take from the herd a heifer that has not been worked—that has never pulled with the yoke—
The elders from the town that is nearest to the body will get a young cow. It must never have been used for work. It must never have pulled a load.
Then the elders of the town nearest the body shall take a heifer that has never been worked and has never worn a yoke
Then the elders of the town nearest the body shall take a heifer that has never been worked and has never worn a yoke
And it shall be that the elders of the city nearest to the slain man will take a heifer which has not been worked and which has not pulled with a yoke.
The leaders of the city that is nearest to the dead man will take a young cow from the cattle. The cow must never have been worked or pulled a plow.
When the nearest town has been determined, that town’s elders must select from the herd a heifer that has never been trained or yoked to a plow.
The elders of the town nearest the body shall take a heifer that has never been worked, one that has not pulled in the yoke;
The elders of the town nearest the body shall take a heifer that has never been worked, one that has not pulled in the yoke;
The elders of the town nearest the body shall take a heifer that has never been worked, one that has not pulled in the yoke;
The elders of the town nearest the body shall take a heifer that has never been worked, one that has not pulled in the yoke;
And it shall be, that the town which is next unto the slain man, even the zekenim of that town shall take a heifer, which hath not been worked with, and which hath not pulled the ol (yoke);
and the elders of the city which is nearest to the slain man shall take a heifer which has never been worked and which has not pulled in the yoke.
and the elders of the city which is nearest to the slain man shall take a heifer which has never been worked and which has not pulled in the yoke.
Now the town nearest to the slain one—the elders of that city are to take from the herd a heifer that has not been used for work or pulled a yoke.
The elders of the city that’s closest to the body will have jurisdiction and offer a special sacrifice. Have them take a heifer that has never been put to work pulling a yoke,
It shall be that the elders of the city which is nearest to the slain man shall take a heifer of the herd, which hasn’t been worked with, and which has not drawn in the yoke.
and which city they see to be nearer that carrion, than another, the elder men of that city shall take of [the] drove a cow calf, that hath not drawn yoke, neither hath cut the earth with a (plow)share; (and whichever city they see to be nearer to that corpse, than any other, the elders of that city shall take a cow calf from the herd, that hath not yet worn a yoke, nor hath cut the earth with a plowshare;)
and it hath been, the city which [is] near unto the slain one, even the elders of that city have taken a heifer of the herd, which hath not been wrought with, which hath not drawn in the yoke,
