“Test thy servants, I beseech thee, ten days, and let them give us pulse to eat and water to drink.

He said, “Please give us this test for ten days: Don’t give us anything but vegetables to eat and water to drink.
He said, ‘Please sir, watch us for ten days. Give us only vegetables to eat and water to drink.
“Please test your servants for ten days. Tell them to give us only vegetables, and we will eat them and drink water.

and suggested a ten-day diet of only vegetables and water;
But Daniel appealed to a steward who had been assigned by the head of the palace staff to be in charge of Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah: “Try us out for ten days on a simple diet of vegetables and water. Then compare us with the young men who eat from the royal menu. Make your decision on the basis of what you see.”

“Please test your servants for ten days, and let them give us vegetables to eat and water to drink.

“Please test us for ten days on a diet of vegetables and water,” Daniel said.

Daniel (to the guard): Please, do us a favor. Put us, your servants, to the test for the next 10 days. Give us a vegetarian diet and water.
