So the king of the south shall come into his kingdom, and shall return into his own land.
And he shall come into the realm of the king of the south, but he shall return into his own land.
And the king of the North will come into the realm of the king of the South, but he will retreat to his own country [badly defeated].
And he [the king of Syria] shall come into the kingdom of the king of the South but shall return to his own land.
So the king of the south shall come into his kingdom, and shall return into his own land.
who will enter the kingdom of the king of the South and then return to his own land.
Then the northern king will attack the kingdom of the southern king, but will return to his own land.
“Afterwards, the king of the north will invade the kingdom of the king of the south, but he will retire to his own land.
the king of the north will invade the southern kingdom, but he will be forced back to his own country.
and [the same] shall come into the realm of the king of the south, but shall return into his own land.
And the king of the south shall enter into the kingdom, and shall return to his own land.
The northern king will attack the southern kingdom. But he will lose, and then he will go back to his own country.
After that, the king of the north will take his army into the land that the king of the south rules. But they will cause him to return to his own country.
But the King of the North will come into the kingdom of the King of the South. Then he will return to his own land.
Then the latter shall come into the realm of the king of the south but shall return to his own land.
Then the latter shall come into the realm of the king of the south but shall return to his own land.
Next, ·the king of the North [L he] will ·attack [L come against] the king of the South, but he will ·be beaten back [return] to his own ·country [land; C the battles between the Seleucids and the Ptolemies would continue].
So the king of the South shall come into his kingdom, and shall return into his own land.
He will invade the southern kingdom and return to his own country.
the king of Syria will invade Egypt, but he will be forced to retreat.

Next, the king of the North will attack the king of the South. But he will be beaten back to his own country.
Then he’ll come against the realm of the southern king and then return to his own territory.
Thus shall the king of the south enter into the kingdom and return to his own land.
So the king of the south shall come into his kingdom, and shall return into his own land.

Then the latter will enter the kingdom of the king of the South, but will return to his own land.
And then he will come into the kingdom of the king of the south, but he will return to his land.
“Meanwhile, the king of Syria will invade Egypt briefly but will soon return again to his own land.
“‘Next the king of the south will grow strong, but one of his princes will grow stronger than he and rule an even larger territory. After a few years, the two of them will make a pact, and the daughter of the king of the south will marry the king of the north to cement the peace agreement. But her influence will weaken and her child will not survive. She and her servants, her child, and her husband will be betrayed. “‘Sometime later a member of the royal family will show up and take over. He will take command of his army and invade the defenses of the king of the north and win a resounding victory. He will load up their tin gods and all the gold and silver trinkets that go with them and cart them off to Egypt. Eventually, the king of the north will recover and invade the country of the king of the south, but unsuccessfully. He will have to retreat.

Then the king of the north will advance against the empire of the king of the south, but will withdraw to his own land.
Then the king of Syria will march into territory that was controlled by Egypt. After that, he will return to his own country.
Then the king of the North will invade the realm of the king of the South but will retreat to his own country.
Then the king of the North will invade the realm of the king of the South but will retreat to his own country.
“Also the king of the North shall come to the kingdom of the king of the South, but shall return to his own land.
Then the king of the North will go to fight against the king of the South, but will return to his own land.
“Later the king of the north will invade the realm of the king of the south but will soon return to his own land.
then the latter shall invade the realm of the king of the south, but will return to his own land.
then the latter shall invade the realm of the king of the south, but will return to his own land.
then the latter shall invade the realm of the king of the south, but will return to his own land.
then the latter shall invade the realm of the king of the south but will return to his own land.
So he (HaMelech HaTzafon) shall come into his kingdom of HaMelech HaNegev and shall return into his own land.
Then the latter shall come into the realm of the king of the south but shall return into his own land.
Then the latter shall come into the realm of the king of the south but shall return into his own land.
“Then the king of the north will invade the realm of the king of the south, but he will retreat to his own land.
But then, in later times, the king of the north will invade the provinces of the king of the south, but soon will be forced to withdraw to his own northern lands.
He will come into the realm of the king of the south, but he will return into his own land.
and the king of the south shall enter into the realm, and shall turn again to his land. (and the king of the south shall enter into the kingdom, but then he shall retreat, and return to his own land.)
