because for His name’s sake they went forth, taking nothing from the Gentiles.
because that for the sake of the Name they went forth, taking nothing of the Gentiles.
For these [traveling missionaries] went out for the sake of the Name [of Christ], accepting nothing [in the way of assistance] from the Gentiles.
For these [traveling missionaries] have gone out for the Name’s sake (for His sake) and are accepting nothing from the Gentiles (the heathen, the non-Israelites).
Because that for his name’s sake they went forth, taking nothing of the Gentiles.
since they set out for the sake of the Name, accepting nothing from pagans.
because they left on their journey for the sake of Jesus Christ without accepting any support from the Gentiles.
since it was for the sake of HaShem that they went out without accepting anything from the Goyim.
When they left to tell others about the Lord, they decided not to accept help from anyone who wasn't a follower.
for for the name have they gone forth, taking nothing of those of the nations.
For they went out for the Name, taking nothing from the Gentiles.
Because, for his name they went out, taking nothing of the Gentiles.
They went on their trip to serve Christ. They did not accept any help from people who are not believers.
They are travelling to different places to tell people about Jesus Christ. They do not accept any gifts from those people who are not Christians.
They went out for the sake of the Name, accepting nothing from the Gentiles.
For they have gone out for the sake of the name, accepting nothing from the Gentiles.
For they have gone out for the sake of the name, accepting nothing from the Gentiles.
[L For] They ·started out in service to Christ [L departed for the sake of the name], and they have been accepting ·nothing [no support] from nonbelievers [L Gentiles; pagans].
Because that for his Name’s sake they went forth, and took nothing of the Gentiles.
After all, they went on their trip to serve the one named Christ, and they didn’t accept any help from the people to whom they went.
For they set out on their trip in the service of Christ without accepting any help from unbelievers.
since they set out for the sake of the Name, accepting nothing from pagans.
They started out on their trip to serve Christ. They did not accept any help from those who are not believers.
After all, they went on their trip for the sake of the Name, accepting no support from gentiles.
You are doing a fine faithful piece of work, my dear friend, in looking after the brothers who come your way, especially when you have never seen them before. They have testified to your love before the Church. It is a fine thing to help them on their way—it shows you realise the importance of what they are doing. They set out on this work, as you know for the sake of “the name” and they accept no help from non-Christians. We ought to give such men a real welcome and prove that we too are co-operating with the truth.
because for his name’s sake, they went forth, taking nothing of the Gentiles.
Because that for his name's sake they went forth, taking nothing of the Gentiles.
because that for his name’s sake they went forth, taking nothing of the Gentiles.
For they went out for the sake of the Name, receiving nothing from the Gentiles.
For they have gone out on behalf of the name, accepting nothing from the pagans.
For they are traveling for the Lord and take neither food, clothing, shelter, nor money from those who are not Christians, even though they have preached to them.
Dear friend, when you extend hospitality to Christian brothers and sisters, even when they are strangers, you make the faith visible. They’ve made a full report back to the church here, a message about your love. It’s good work you’re doing, helping these travelers on their way, hospitality worthy of God himself! They set out under the banner of the Name, and get no help from unbelievers. So they deserve any support we can give them. In providing meals and a bed, we become their companions in spreading the Truth.
For His name’s sake they went out, receiving no help from the Gentiles.
because they set out for the sake of the Name, accepting nothing from · nonbelievers.
After all, they went on their trip to serve the one named Christ, and they didn’t accept any help from the people to whom they went.
For they have set out for the sake of the Name and are accepting nothing from the pagans.
For they went out for the sake of the Name, accepting nothing from the Gentiles.
For they went out for the sake of the Name, accepting nothing from the Gentiles.
For they began their journey for the sake of the Name, and they have refused to accept any support from nonbelievers.
They started out in service to Christ, and they have been accepting nothing from nonbelievers.
For they have gone forth on behalf of “The Name,” accepting nothing from the pagans.
They started on their journey to serve Jesus Christ. They didn’t receive any help from those who aren’t believers.
It was for the sake of the Name that they went out, receiving no help from the pagans.
It was for the sake of the Name that they went out, receiving no help from the pagans.
because they went forth for His name’s sake, taking nothing from the Gentiles.
These people are working for the Lord. They are taking nothing from the people who do not know God.
For they are traveling for the Lord, and they accept nothing from people who are not believers.
because for his name’s sake they went forth, and took nothing from the Gentiles.
for they began their journey for the sake of Christ, accepting no support from non-believers.
for they began their journey for the sake of Christ, accepting no support from non-believers.
for they began their journey for the sake of Christ, accepting no support from non-believers.
for they began their journey for the sake of Christ, accepting no support from nonbelievers.
They went out for the sake of the Name, not accepting help from outsiders.
For, on behalf of Hashem they went forth [in the Shlichus of Moshiach’s Kiruv Rechokim], taking nothing from the Goyim.
Because, they went forth for His Name’s sake and took nothing from the Gentiles.
For they have set out for his sake and have accepted nothing from the heathen.
For they have set out for his sake and have accepted nothing from the heathen.
For on behalf of the Name they went out, accepting nothing from the pagans.
They have gone out to serve under the banner of the Name, and they do not accept gifts from those outside our faith community.
because for the sake of the Name they went out, taking nothing from the Gentiles.
So we should help such men with what they need. Then we are doing our part to tell the true message. I wrote a letter to the people of the church. But Diotrephes wants to be the leader. He will not listen to us.
For they went forth for his name, and took nothing of heathen men. [Soothly for his name they went forth, nothing taking of heathen men.]
because for [His] name they went forth, nothing receiving from the nations;
