2 Maccabees 7:33
If our living Lord is angry for a short time in order to rebuke and discipline us, he will again be reconciled with his own servants.
And though the Lord our God is angry with us a little while for our chastisement and correction: yet he will be reconciled again to his servants.
It is true that our living Lord is angry with us and is making us suffer because of our sins, in order to correct and discipline us. But this will last only a short while, for we are still his servants, and he will forgive us.
Though for a little while our living Lord has been angry, correcting and chastising us, he will again be reconciled with his servants.
and while our living Lord is angry with us for a brief time as he seeks to correct and discipline us, he will eventually be reconciled with his servants.
And if our living Lord is angry for a little while, to rebuke and discipline us, he will again be reconciled with his own servants.
