And it came to pass, when Joab observed the city, that he assigned Uriah unto a place where he knew that valiant men were.
And it came to pass, when Joab kept watch upon the city, that he assigned Uriah unto the place where he knew that valiant men were.
So it happened that as Joab was besieging the city, he assigned Uriah to the place where he knew the [enemy’s] valiant men were positioned.
So when Joab was besieging the city, he assigned Uriah opposite where he knew the enemy’s most valiant men were.
And it came to pass, when Joab observed the city, that he assigned Uriah unto a place where he knew that valiant men were.
When Joab was besieging the city, he put Uriah in the place where he knew the best enemy soldiers were.

So while Yo’av had the city under siege, he assigned Uriyah to the place where he knew the toughest defenders were.
Joab had been carefully watching the city of Rabbah, and he put Uriah in a place where he knew there were some of the enemy's best soldiers.
And it came to pass as Joab watched the city, that he assigned Urijah to a place where he knew that the valiant men were.
Wherefore as Joab was besieging the city, he put Urias in the place where he knew the bravest men were.
Joab watched the city and saw where the bravest Ammonites were. He chose Uriah to go to that place.
Joab's soldiers were all around Rabbah city and they were watching it carefully. Joab sent Uriah to fight near to the city, where the enemy's best soldiers were.
So when Joab was besieging the city, he assigned Uriah to a place where he knew that the enemy’s strongest warriors were.
And as Joab was besieging the city, he assigned Uriah to the place where he knew there were valiant men.

So as Joab was besieging the city, he stationed Uriah in a place where he knew fierce men were.

So it came to pass, when Joab was besieging the city, that he assigned Uriah to the place where he knew that valiant men were.
After he received this message, Joab laid out his attack plans and assigned Uriah to a place where he knew the enemy had put strong warriors.
When Joab kept watch on the city, he assigned Uriah to the place where he knew that valiant men were.
Therefore when Joab besieged the city, he setted Uriah in the place where he knew that (the) strongest men were.
And it cometh to pass in Joab's watching of the city, that he appointeth Uriah unto the place where he knew that valiant men [are];
