His hatred was so intense that one of Simon’s men had even attempted to commit murders.
But when the enmities proceeded so far, that murders also were committed by some of Simon's friends:
Apollonius son of Menestheus, the governor of Greater Syria, encouraged Simon in every evil thing he did, and Simon's opposition finally grew so strong that one of his trusted followers committed several murders. Onias realized how dangerous the situation had become,
When Simon’s hostility reached such a pitch that murders were being committed by one of his henchmen,
When his hatred progressed to such a degree that even murders were committed by one of Simon’s approved agents,
When his hatred progressed to such a degree that even murders were committed by one of Simon’s approved agents,
When his hatred progressed to such a degree that even murders were committed by one of Simon’s approved agents,
