2 Maccabees 15:18
They weren’t as concerned for their women and children, or their brothers and relatives, as they were for the holy temple.
For their concern was less for their wives, and children, and for their brethren, and kinsfolks: but their greatest and principal fear was for the holiness of the temple.
They were not so concerned about their own families and relatives as they were about their sacred Temple.
They were not so much concerned about wives and children, or family and relations; their first and foremost fear was for the consecrated sanctuary.
Their concern for wives and children, and also for brothers and sisters and relatives, lay upon them less heavily; their greatest and first fear was for the consecrated sanctuary.
