And his servant answered him: How much is this, that I should set it before a hundred men? He said again: Give to the people, that they may eat: for thus saith the Lord: They shall eat, and there shall be left.
Elisha’s servant said, “What? There are 100 men here. How can I give this food to all those men?” But Elisha said, “Give the food to the people to eat. The Lord says, ‘They will eat and there will still be food left over.’”
Elisha’s servant asked, “How can I ·feed a hundred people with so little [L set this before a hundred people]?” “Give the bread to the people to eat,” Elisha ·said [repeated]. “·This is what the Lord says [T Thus says the Lord]: ‘They will eat and will have food left over.’”
But Elisha’s attendant asked, “What? Am I to set 20 loaves before 100 men?” “Give it to the people to eat,” Elisha said, “for this is what the Lord says: ‘They will eat, and they will have some left over.’”
But his servant asked, “How can I set this in front of a hundred people?” “Give it to the people to eat,” the man of Elohim said. “This is what Yahweh says: They will eat and even have some left over.”
Elisha’s servant asked, “How can I feed a hundred people with so little?” “Give the bread to the people to eat,” Elisha said. “This is what the Lord says: ‘They will eat and will have food left over.’”
“What?” his servant exclaimed. “Feed a hundred people with only this?” But Elisha repeated, “Give it to the people so they can eat, for this is what the Lord says: Everyone will eat, and there will even be some left over!”
Servant: Do you really think this will be enough for 100 hungry men? Elisha:Yes, do as I said, and distribute this food to the people. The Eternal One says, “They will fill their bellies and still have some food left over.”
And his servant answered to him, What is this, that I set before an hundred men? Again Elisha said, Give thou to the people, that it eat; for the Lord saith these things, They shall eat, and there shall leave [over]. (And his servant answered to him, This is not enough to put before a hundred men! But again Elisha said, Give thou to the people, so that they can eat; for the Lord saith these things, They shall eat, and there shall be some left over.)
