2 Corinthians 1:23
Moreover I call God for a record upon my soul, that it was to spare you that I came not as yet unto Corinth,
But I call God for a witness upon my soul, that to spare you I forbare to come unto Corinth.
But I call on God as my soul’s witness, that it was to spare you [pain and discouragement] that I did not come again to Corinth—
But I call upon God as my soul’s witness: it was to avoid hurting you that I refrained from coming to Corinth—
Moreover I call God for a record upon my soul, that to spare you I came not as yet unto Corinth.
I call on God as my witness—I didn’t come again to Corinth because I wanted to spare you.
I call God to witness — he knows what my life is like — that the reason I held back from coming to Corinth was out of consideration for you!
God is my witness that I stayed away from Corinth, just to keep from being hard on you.
But I call God to witness upon my soul that to spare you I have not yet come to Corinth.
And I call-upon God as witness for my soul that sparing you I no longer came to Corinth—
But I call God to witness upon my soul, that to spare you, I came not any more to Corinth: not because we exercise dominion over your faith: but we are helpers of your joy: for in faith you stand.
I tell you this, and I ask God to be my witness that this is true: The reason I did not come back to Corinth was that I did not want to punish or hurt you.
But I call God to witness against me—it was to spare you that I refrained from coming again to Corinth.
But I call God to witness against me—it was to spare you that I refrained from coming again to Corinth.
Now I ·ask [call on; appeal to] God to be my witness ·that this is true [or staking my life on it; L against my soul/life; C a very serious vow or oath]: The reason I did not come back to Corinth was to ·keep you from being punished or hurt [L spare you].
Now, I call God for a record unto my soul, that to spare you, I came not as yet unto Corinth.
I appeal to God as a witness on my behalf, that I stayed away from Corinth because I wanted to spare you.
I call God as my witness—he knows my heart! It was in order to spare you that I decided not to go to Corinth.

I tell you this, and I ask God to be my witness that this is true: The reason I did not come back to Corinth was that I did not want to punish or hurt you.
I call upon God as a witness on my behalf that it was in order to spare you that I did not return to Corinth.
No, I declare before God that it was to avoid hurting you that I did not come to Corinth. For though I am not responsible for your faith—your standing in God is your own affair—yet I can add to your happiness.
Moreover I call God for a witness upon my soul that I have not yet come unto Corinth to spare you.
Moreover I call God for a record upon my soul, that to spare you I came not as yet unto Corinth.
Moreover I call God for a record upon my soul, that to spare you I came not as yet unto Corinth.
But I call upon God as witness against my life, that in order to spare you, I did not come again to Corinth.
I call upon this God to witness against me if I am not telling the absolute truth: the reason I haven’t come to visit you yet is that I don’t want to sadden you with a severe rebuke.
Now, are you ready for the real reason I didn’t visit you in Corinth? As God is my witness, the only reason I didn’t come was to spare you pain. I was being considerate of you, not indifferent, not manipulative.
Moreover I call God as a witness upon my soul, that it is to spare you that I have not yet gone to Corinth.

I tell you this, and I ask God to be my witness that this is true: The reason I did not come back to Corinth was to keep you from being punished or hurt.

But I call on God as witness against me: it was to spare you that I did not come again to Corinth.
But I call on God as witness against me: it was to spare you that I did not come again to Corinth.

But I call God as my witness—to spare you, I didn’t come to Corinth again.
If I were in court today, I’d call God as a witness to my soul. Here’s the truth: I decided not to come back to Corinth in order to spare you further pain and sorrow.
But I call God for a witness to my soul, that I didn’t come to Corinth to spare you.
For I call God to witness against my soul [Forsooth I in-call God witness into my soul], that I sparing you came not over to Corinth;
And I for a witness on God do call upon my soul, that sparing you, I came not yet to Corinth;
