1 Maccabees 5:31
So Judas saw that the battle had already begun and that the cries of the townspeople went up to heaven. There were trumpet blasts and loud shouts.
And Judas saw that the fight was begun, and the cry of the battle went up to heaven like a trumpet, and a great cry out of the city:
When Judas heard the noise, the shouts, and the sound of trumpets coming from the city, he realized that the battle had begun,
When Judas perceived that the struggle had begun and that the noise of the battle was resounding to heaven with trumpet blasts and loud shouting,
When Judas saw that the attack had begun and heard a war cry rising to heaven from the city, accompanied by trumpet blasts and loud shouts,
So Judas saw that the battle had begun and that the cry of the town went up to Heaven, with trumpets and loud shouts,
