1 Corinthians 7:21
Print
Art thou a servant when called? Be not concerned; but if thou mayest be made free, then make use of it.
Wast thou called being a bondservant? care not for it: nay, even if thou canst become free, use it rather.
Were you a slave when you were called? Do not worry about that [since your status as a believer is equal to that of a freeborn believer]; but if you are able to gain your freedom, do that.
Were you a slave when you were called? Do not let that trouble you. But if you are able to gain your freedom, avail yourself of the opportunity.
Art thou called being a servant? care not for it: but if thou mayest be made free, use it rather.
Were you called while a slave? Don’t let it concern you. But if you can become free, by all means take the opportunity.
If you were a slave when you were called, don’t let it bother you. But if you are actually able to be free, take advantage of the opportunity.
Were you a slave when you were called? Well, don’t let it bother you; although if you can gain your freedom, take advantage of the opportunity.
Are you a slave? Don't let that bother you. But if you can win your freedom, you should.
Hast thou been called [being] a bondman, let it not concern thee; but and if thou canst become free, use [it] rather.
Were you called as a slave? Do not let it be a concern to you. But if also you are able to become free, rather make-use-of the opportunity.
Wast thou called, being a bondman? care not for it; but if thou mayest be made free, use it rather.
If you were a slave when God chose you, don’t let that bother you. But if you can be free, then do it.
You may have been a slave when God called you. That does not matter. But if you have the chance to become a free person, accept it.
Were you a slave when you were called? Do not let it bother you. But if you are able to become free, take advantage of it.
Were you a bondservant when called? Do not be concerned about it. (But if you can gain your freedom, avail yourself of the opportunity.)
Were you a slave when called? Do not be concerned about it. (But if you can gain your freedom, avail yourself of the opportunity.)
If you were a slave when God called you, do not let that bother you. But if you can ·be free [gain your freedom], ·then make good use of your freedom [or then take that opportunity; or instead remain and make use of your opportunities as a slave].
Art thou called being a servant? care not for it: but if yet thou mayest be free, use it rather.
Were you a slave when you were called? That shouldn’t bother you. However, if you have a chance to become free, take it.
Were you a slave when God called you? Well, never mind; but if you have a chance to become free, use it.
Were you called while a slave? It should not be a concern to you. But if you can become free, by all means take the opportunity.
If you were a slave when God called you, do not let that bother you. But if you can be free, then become free.
Were you a slave when you were called? Do not let that bother you. Of course, if you have a chance to become free, take advantage of the opportunity.
For example, if a man was circumcised when God called him he should not attempt to remove the sign of his circumcision. If on the other hand he was uncircumcised he should not become circumcised. Being circumcised or not being circumcised, what do they matter? The great thing is to obey the orders of Almighty God. Everyone should stick to the calling in which he heard the call of God. Were you a slave when you heard the call? Don’t let that worry you, though if you find an opportunity to become free you had better take it. But a slave who is called to life in Christ is set free in the eyes of God. And a man who was free when God called him becomes a slave—to Christ himself! You have been redeemed, at tremendous cost; don’t therefore sell yourselves as slaves to men! My brothers, let every one of us continue to live his life with God in the state in which he was when he was called.
Art thou called being a slave? care not for it; but if thou may be made free, use it rather.
Art thou called being a servant? care not for it: but if thou mayest be made free, use it rather.
Art thou called being a servant? care not for it: but if thou mayest be made free, use it rather.
Were you called while a slave? Do not worry about it. But if you are able also to become free, rather do that.
Were you called while a slave? Do not let it be a concern to you. But if indeed you are able to become free, rather make use of it.
Are you a slave? Don’t let that worry you—but of course, if you get a chance to be free, take it.
Stay where you were when God called your name. Were you a slave? Slavery is no roadblock to obeying and believing. I don’t mean you’re stuck and can’t leave. If you have a chance at freedom, go ahead and take it. I’m simply trying to point out that under your new Master you’re going to experience a marvelous freedom you would never have dreamed of. On the other hand, if you were free when Christ called you, you’ll experience a delightful “enslavement to God” you would never have dreamed of.
Were you called while a servant? Do not worry about it. But if you may become free, do so.
If you were a slave when called, do not be concerned about it. However, if · you are able to gain your freedom, make the most of the opportunity.

Were you called as a slave? Do not worry about it. But if indeed you are able to be free, make the most of the opportunity.
Were you a slave when God chose you? Don’t let it trouble you. But if you can get your master to set you free, do it.

Are you called when a servant? Care not for it. But if you may be free, avail yourself of it rather.
Were you a slave when called? Do not be concerned about it. Even if you can gain your freedom, make use of your present condition now more than ever.

If you were a slave when God called you, do not let that trouble you. But if there is some way for you to get free, then do so.
Thou servant art called, be it no charge to thee [Thou a servant art called, be it not charge to thee]; but if thou mayest be made free, use it rather.
