1 Corinthians 1:27

But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise, and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
but God chose the foolish things of the world, that he might put to shame them that are wise; and God chose the weak things of the world, that he might put to shame the things that are strong;
But God has selected [for His purpose] the foolish things of the world to shame the wise [revealing their ignorance], and God has selected [for His purpose] the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong [revealing their frailty].
[No] for God selected (deliberately chose) what in the world is foolish to put the wise to shame, and what the world calls weak to put the strong to shame.
But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
Instead, God has chosen what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen what is weak in the world to shame the strong.
But God chose what the world considers foolish to shame the wise. God chose what the world considers weak to shame the strong.
But God chose what the world considers nonsense in order to shame the wise; God chose what the world considers weak in order to shame the strong;
But God chose the foolish things of this world to put the wise to shame. He chose the weak things of this world to put the powerful to shame.
But God has chosen the foolish things of the world, that he may put to shame the wise; and God has chosen the weak things of the world, that he may put to shame the strong things;
But God chose the foolish things of the world in order that He might be putting the wise ones to shame. And God chose the weak things of the world in order that He might be putting the strong things to shame.
But the foolish things of the world hath God chosen, that he may confound the wise; and the weak things of the world hath God chosen, that he may confound the strong.
But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise. He chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.
Instead, God chose to use things that people think are silly. He did this so that clever people would be ashamed. Yes, God chose to use things that people think are weak. He did this so that powerful people would be ashamed.
But God chose the foolish things of the world to put to shame those who are wise. God chose the weak things of the world to put to shame the things that are strong,
But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong;
But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong;
But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and he chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.
But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise, and God hath chosen the weak things of the world, to confound the mighty things,
But God chose what the world considers nonsense to put wise people to shame. God chose what the world considers weak to put what is strong to shame.
God purposely chose what the world considers nonsense in order to shame the wise, and he chose what the world considers weak in order to shame the powerful.
Instead, God has chosen what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen what is weak in the world to shame the strong.
But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise. He chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.
But God chose what is nonsense in the world to make the wise feel ashamed. God chose what is weak in the world to make the strong feel ashamed.
For look at your own calling as Christians, my brothers. You don’t see among you many of the wise (according to this world’s judgment) nor many of the ruling class, nor many from the noblest families. But God has chosen what the world calls foolish to shame the wise; he has chosen what the world calls weak to shame the strong. He has chosen things of little strength and small repute, yes and even things which have no real existence to explode the pretensions of the things that are—that no man may boast in the presence of God. Yet from this same God you have received your standing in Jesus Christ, and he has become for us the true wisdom, a matter, in practice, of being made righteous and holy, in fact, of being redeemed. And this makes us see the truth of scripture: ‘He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.
but rather God has chosen that which is the foolishness of the world to confound the wise, and God has chosen that which is the weakness of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;
But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
but God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong,
But the foolish things of the world God chose in order that he might put to shame the wise, and the weak things of the world God chose in order that he might put to shame the strong,
Instead, God has deliberately chosen to use ideas the world considers foolish and of little worth in order to shame those people considered by the world as wise and great.
Take a good look, friends, at who you were when you got called into this life. I don’t see many of “the brightest and the best” among you, not many influential, not many from high-society families. Isn’t it obvious that God deliberately chose men and women that the culture overlooks and exploits and abuses, chose these “nobodies” to expose the hollow pretensions of the “somebodies”? That makes it quite clear that none of you can get by with blowing your own horn before God. Everything that we have—right thinking and right living, a clean slate and a fresh start—comes from God by way of Jesus Christ. That’s why we have the saying, “If you’re going to blow a horn, blow a trumpet for God.”
But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise. God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty.
But God chose the foolish things of the world · to shame the wise; · God chose the weak things of the world · to shame the strong;
But God chose what the world considers nonsense to put wise people to shame. God chose what the world considers weak to put what is strong to shame.
Rather, God chose the foolish of the world to shame the wise, and God chose the weak of the world to shame the strong,
but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong,
but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong,
Rather, God chose those who were regarded as foolish by the world to shame the wise; God chose those in the world who were weak to shame the strong.
But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and he chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.
But God chose what the world thinks foolish to shame the wise, and God chose what the world thinks weak to shame the strong.
But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise. God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.
But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.
But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.
But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;
But God has chosen what the world calls foolish to shame the wise. He has chosen what the world calls weak to shame what is strong.
Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful.
But God has chosen the foolish things of the world, to confound the wise. And God has chosen the weak things of the world, to confound things which are strong.
But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong;
But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong;
But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong;
But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong;
But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong;
But Hashem in His bechirah (selection) chose the things of sichlut (foolishness), that He might bring the chachamim to bushah (shame); and Hashem in His bechirah (selection) chose the things of weakness that He might bring the strong to bushah (shame).
But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise. And God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the mighty things.
but God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong,
but God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong,
Yet God chose the foolish things of the world so He might put to shame the wise; and God chose the weak things of the world so He might put to shame the strong;
But celebrate this: God selected the world’s foolish to bring shame upon those who think they are wise; likewise, He selected the world’s weak to bring disgrace upon those who think they are strong.
but God chose the foolish things of the world that he might put to shame those who are wise. God chose the weak things of the world that he might put to shame the things that are strong.
But God chose things that look foolish to the people of the world. He has used those foolish things to put the wise people to shame. God chose the weak things to put to shame the strong people.
But God chose those things that be fond of the world, to confound wise men; and God chose the feeble things of the world, to confound the strong things; [But God chose those things that be foolish of the world, that he confound wise men; and God chose the sick things, or frail, of the world, that he confound the strong things;]
but the foolish things of the world did God choose, that the wise He may put to shame; and the weak things of the world did God choose that He may put to shame the strong;
