Their assistants lived in the villages outside the city, and every seven days a group of them would come into the city and take their turn at guard duty.
And their brethren, in their villages, were to come after [every] seven days from time to time with them.
And their brethren dwelt in villages, and came upon their sabbath days from time to time.
The gatekeepers’ relatives who lived in the small towns had to come and help them at certain times. They came and helped the gatekeepers for seven days each time.
Their relatives lived in their villages. They came to Jerusalem to help with the work as guards. Each time that they came, they worked there for seven days.
Their brothers who were in their villages were to take turns coming in to be with them for a seven-day shift.
And their kinsmen who were in their villages were obligated to come in every seven days, in turn, to be with these,

Shallum son of Kore, the son of Ebiasaph, the son of Korah, along with his brothers in the Korahite family, were in charge of the services of worship as doorkeepers of the Tent, as their ancestors had guarded the entrance to the camp of God. In the early days, Phinehas son of Eleazar was in charge of the security guards—God be with him! Now Zechariah son of Meshelemiah was the security guard at the entrance of the Tent of Meeting. The number of those who had been chosen to be security guards was 212—they were officially registered in their own camps. David and Samuel the seer handpicked them for their dependability. They and their sons had the permanent responsibility for guarding the gates of God’s house, the house of worship; the main security guards were posted at the four entrances, east, west, north, and south; their brothers in the villages were scheduled to give them relief weekly—the four main security guards were responsible for round-the-clock surveillance.

Their kinsmen in their villages were to come from time to time and serve with them for seven days.
Their relatives joined the gatekeepers once per week to keep them company.
Their brothers, in their villages, were to come in every seven days from time to time to be with them:
And their brethren dwelled in towns, and came in their sabbaths from time till to time. (And their kinsmen lived in their towns, and came for seven days at a time, each in their turn.)
