When Antiochus felt that his own kingdom was fully established, he determined also to take control of the land of Egypt so that he could rule over both kingdoms.
And they made themselves prepuces, and departed from the holy covenant, and joined themselves to the heathens, and were sold to do evil.
When Antiochus had firmly established himself as king, he decided to conquer Egypt and rule that country as well as Syria.
When his kingdom seemed secure, Antiochus undertook to become king of the land of Egypt and to rule over both kingdoms.
When Antiochus saw that his kingdom was established, he determined to become king of the land of Egypt, in order that he might reign over both kingdoms.
