When the enemies of the tribe of Judah and Benjamin heard it, they came to investigate what the sound of the trumpets meant.
Some of the levitical priests and heads of ancestral houses, old men who had seen the former house, came to the building of this one with lamentations and loud weeping,
and when the enemies of the tribe of Judah and Benjamin heard it, they came to find out what the sound of the trumpets meant.
Some of the Levit′ical priests and heads of fathers’ houses, old men who had seen the former house, came to the building of this one with outcries and loud weeping,
And there came many of the priests, and of (the) deacons [or Levites], and of (the) presidents after (the) towns (or of the princes of the towns), to the elders that had seen the rather house (or the first Temple), and at the building up of this house, with cry(ing), and with great wailing;
