1 Corinthians 11:19
For there must be also heresies among you, that those who are approved may be made manifest among you.
For there must be also factions among you, that they that are approved may be made manifest among you.
for [doubtless] there have to be factions among you, so that those who are of approved character may be clearly recognized among you.
For doubtless there have to be factions or parties among you in order that they who are genuine and of approved fitness may become evident and plainly recognized among you.
For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.
It’s necessary that there are groups among you, to make it clear who is genuine.
(granted that there must be some divisions among you in order to show who are the ones in the right).
You are bound to argue with each other, but it is easy to see which of you have God’s approval.
For there must also be sects among you, that the approved may become manifest among you.
for there indeed have-to be factions among you in order that the approved ones may also become known among you.
For there must be also heresies: that they also, who are approved, may be made manifest among you.
because of your idea that you must have separate groups to show who the real believers are!
for there must be factions among you in order that those who are genuine among you may be recognized.
for there must be factions among you in order that those who are genuine among you may be recognized.
(It is necessary to have ·differences [factions] among you so that it may be clear which of you really have God’s approval [C controversy is necesssary because error must be opposed].)
For there must be heresies even among you, that they which are approved among you, might be known.
Factions have to exist in order to make it clear who the genuine believers among you are.
( No doubt there must be divisions among you so that the ones who are in the right may be clearly seen.)
There must, indeed, be factions among you, so that those who are approved may be recognized among you.
(It is necessary for there to be differences among you. That is the way to make it clear which of you are really doing right.)
Of course, there must be factions among you to show which of you are genuine!
But in giving you the following rules, I cannot commend your conduct, for it seems that your church meetings do you more harm than good! For first, when you meet for worship I hear that you split up into small groups, and I think there must be truth in what I hear. For there must be cliques among you or your favourite leaders would not be so conspicuous. It follows, then, that when you are assembled in one place you do not eat the Lord’s supper. For everyone tries to grab his food before anyone else, with the result that one goes hungry and another has too much to drink! Haven’t you houses of your own to have your meals in, or are you making a convenience of the church of God and causing acute embarrassment to those who have no other home? Am I to commend this sort of conduct? Most certainly not!
For it is expedient that there also be heresies among you, so that those who are proved may become manifest among you.
For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.
For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.
For indeed it is necessary that there be factions among you, in order that those who are approved may become evident among you.
But I suppose you feel this is necessary so that you who are always right will become known and recognized!
Regarding this next item, I’m not at all pleased. I am getting the picture that when you meet together it brings out your worst side instead of your best! First, I get this report on your divisiveness, competing with and criticizing each other. I’m reluctant to believe it, but there it is. The best that can be said for it is that the testing process will bring truth into the open and confirm it.
For there must also be factions among you so that those who are genuine may become evident among you.
for there must be · factions among you so that · it may become clear who among you are genuine.
Factions have to exist in order to make it clear who the genuine believers among you are.
there have to be factions among you in order that [also] those who are approved among you may become known.
For there must also be factions among you, so that those who are approved may become evident among you.
(It is necessary to have differences among you so that it may be clear which of you really have God’s approval.)
For there must in fact be divisions among you, so that those of you who are approved may be evident.
Do you really think you need to take sides? You probably think God favors one side over the other!
No doubt there have to be differences among you to show which of you have God’s approval.
No doubt there have to be differences among you to show which of you have God’s approval.
For there must also be factions among you, that those who are approved may be recognized among you.
For there must be different groups among you. In that way, those who are right will be seen from those who are wrong.
But, of course, there must be divisions among you so that you who have God’s approval will be recognized!
Indeed, there have to be factions among you, for only so will it become clear who among you are genuine.
Indeed, there have to be factions among you, for only so will it become clear who among you are genuine.
Indeed, there have to be factions among you, for only so will it become clear who among you are genuine.
Indeed, there have to be factions among you, for only so will it become clear who among you are genuine.
For it is necessary also for kitot (sects) of minut (heresy), of kefirah (heresy, denial) to be among you that also the approved ones may become manifest among you [DEVARIM 13:3].
for there must be factions among you in order that those who are genuine among you may be recognized.
for there must be factions among you in order that those who are genuine among you may be recognized.
for there must be factions among you, so that those among you who are tried and true may be evident.
I’ve accepted the fact that factions are sometimes useful and even necessary so that those who are authentic and those who are counterfeit may be recognized.
For there also must be factions among you, that those who are approved may be revealed among you.
You also have groups of people who do not think the same way. Because of them you will soon learn which people please God the most.
For it behooveth heresies to be, that they that be approved, be openly known in you.
for it behoveth sects also to be among you, that those approved may become manifest among you;
