The Spirit guided the New Testament writers who prepared the new written revelation that would take its place beside the Old Testament Scriptures. The Spirit will remind the writers of the past (14:26; the Gospels), interpret the gospel for the present (14:26; 15:26; Acts and the Epistles), and reveal things to come (Rev. 1:19).
