14 “‘If anyone dedicates their house as something holy to the Lord, the priest will judge its quality as good or bad. Whatever value the priest then sets, so it will remain. 15 If the one who dedicates their house wishes to redeem it,(A) they must add a fifth to its value, and the house will again become theirs.
16 “‘If anyone dedicates to the Lord part of their family land, its value is to be set according to the amount of seed required for it—fifty shekels of silver to a homer[a] of barley seed. 17 If they dedicate a field during the Year of Jubilee, the value that has been set remains. 18 But if they dedicate a field after the Jubilee,(B) the priest will determine the value according to the number of years that remain(C) until the next Year of Jubilee, and its set value will be reduced. 19 If the one who dedicates the field wishes to redeem it,(D) they must add a fifth to its value, and the field will again become theirs. 20 If, however, they do not redeem the field, or if they have sold it to someone else, it can never be redeemed. 21 When the field is released in the Jubilee,(E) it will become holy,(F) like a field devoted to the Lord;(G) it will become priestly property.
22 “‘If anyone dedicates to the Lord a field they have bought, which is not part of their family land, 23 the priest will determine its value up to the Year of Jubilee,(H) and the owner must pay its value on that day as something holy to the Lord. 24 In the Year of Jubilee the field will revert to the person from whom it was bought,(I) the one whose land it was. 25 Every value is to be set according to the sanctuary shekel,(J) twenty gerahs(K) to the shekel.
26 “‘No one, however, may dedicate the firstborn of an animal, since the firstborn already belongs to the Lord;(L) whether an ox[b] or a sheep, it is the Lord’s. 27 If it is one of the unclean animals,(M) it may be bought back at its set value, adding a fifth of the value to it. If it is not redeemed, it is to be sold at its set value.
28 “‘But nothing that a person owns and devotes[c](N) to the Lord—whether a human being or an animal or family land—may be sold or redeemed; everything so devoted is most holy(O) to the Lord.
29 “‘No person devoted to destruction[d] may be ransomed; they are to be put to death.(P)
30 “‘A tithe(Q) of everything from the land, whether grain from the soil or fruit from the trees, belongs to the Lord; it is holy(R) to the Lord. 31 Whoever would redeem(S) any of their tithe must add a fifth of the value(T) to it. 32 Every tithe of the herd and flock—every tenth animal that passes under the shepherd’s rod(U)—will be holy to the Lord. 33 No one may pick out the good from the bad or make any substitution.(V) If anyone does make a substitution, both the animal and its substitute become holy and cannot be redeemed.(W)’”
34 These are the commands the Lord gave Moses at Mount Sinai(X) for the Israelites.(Y)
The Census
1 The Lord spoke to Moses in the tent of meeting(Z) in the Desert of Sinai(AA) on the first day of the second month(AB) of the second year after the Israelites came out of Egypt.(AC) He said: 2 “Take a census(AD) of the whole Israelite community by their clans and families,(AE) listing every man by name,(AF) one by one. 3 You and Aaron(AG) are to count according to their divisions all the men in Israel who are twenty years old or more(AH) and able to serve in the army.(AI) 4 One man from each tribe,(AJ) each of them the head of his family,(AK) is to help you.(AL) 5 These are the names(AM) of the men who are to assist you:

And so he counted(BS) them in the Desert of Sinai:

47 The ancestral tribe of the Levites,(CY) however, was not counted(CZ) along with the others. 48 The Lord had said to Moses: 49 “You must not count the tribe of Levi or include them in the census of the other Israelites. 50 Instead, appoint the Levites to be in charge of the tabernacle(DA) of the covenant law(DB)—over all its furnishings(DC) and everything belonging to it. They are to carry the tabernacle and all its furnishings; they are to take care of it and encamp around it. 51 Whenever the tabernacle(DD) is to move,(DE) the Levites are to take it down, and whenever the tabernacle is to be set up, the Levites shall do it.(DF) Anyone else who approaches it is to be put to death.(DG) 52 The Israelites are to set up their tents by divisions, each of them in their own camp under their standard.(DH) 53 The Levites, however, are to set up their tents around the tabernacle(DI) of the covenant law so that my wrath will not fall(DJ) on the Israelite community. 54 The Israelites did all this just as the Lord commanded Moses.
Jesus Comes to Jerusalem as King(A)(B)
11 As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage and Bethany(C) at the Mount of Olives,(D) Jesus sent two of his disciples, 2 saying to them, “Go to the village ahead of you, and just as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden.(E) Untie it and bring it here. 3 If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ say, ‘The Lord needs it and will send it back here shortly.’”
4 They went and found a colt outside in the street, tied at a doorway.(F) As they untied it, 5 some people standing there asked, “What are you doing, untying that colt?” 6 They answered as Jesus had told them to, and the people let them go. 7 When they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their cloaks over it, he sat on it. 8 Many people spread their cloaks on the road, while others spread branches they had cut in the fields. 9 Those who went ahead and those who followed shouted,
“Hosanna![a]”
10 “Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David!”
“Hosanna in the highest heaven!”(H)
11 Jesus entered Jerusalem and went into the temple courts. He looked around at everything, but since it was already late, he went out to Bethany with the Twelve.(I)
Jesus Curses a Fig Tree and Clears the Temple Courts(J)(K)(L)
12 The next day as they were leaving Bethany, Jesus was hungry. 13 Seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to find out if it had any fruit. When he reached it, he found nothing but leaves, because it was not the season for figs.(M) 14 Then he said to the tree, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again.” And his disciples heard him say it.
15 On reaching Jerusalem, Jesus entered the temple courts and began driving out those who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves, 16 and would not allow anyone to carry merchandise through the temple courts. 17 And as he taught them, he said, “Is it not written: ‘My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations’[c]?(N) But you have made it ‘a den of robbers.’[d]”(O)
18 The chief priests and the teachers of the law heard this and began looking for a way to kill him, for they feared him,(P) because the whole crowd was amazed at his teaching.(Q)
19 When evening came, Jesus and his disciples[e] went out of the city.(R)
20 In the morning, as they went along, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots. 21 Peter remembered and said to Jesus, “Rabbi,(S) look! The fig tree you cursed has withered!”
22 “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. 23 “Truly[f] I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.(T) 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.(U) 25 And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”(V) [26] [g]

3 though its waters roar(J) and foam(K)
and the mountains quake(L) with their surging.[c]
4 There is a river(M) whose streams(N) make glad the city of God,(O)
the holy place where the Most High(P) dwells.(Q)
5 God is within her,(R) she will not fall;(S)
God will help(T) her at break of day.
6 Nations(U) are in uproar,(V) kingdoms(W) fall;
he lifts his voice,(X) the earth melts.(Y)
8 Come and see what the Lord has done,(AD)
the desolations(AE) he has brought on the earth.
9 He makes wars(AF) cease
to the ends of the earth.
He breaks the bow(AG) and shatters the spear;
he burns the shields[d] with fire.(AH)
10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;(AI)
I will be exalted(AJ) among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”
23 A fool finds pleasure in wicked schemes,(A)
but a person of understanding delights in wisdom.
