Abraham Appeals for Sodom

Then the men turned away from there and went toward Sodom, while Abraham was still standing before the Lord.

but to the sons of his concubines, Abraham gave gifts while he was still living, and sent them away from his son Isaac eastward, to the land of the east.

Then he said, “Look, it is still high day; it is not time for the livestock to be gathered. Water the sheep, and go, pasture them.”

While he was still speaking with them, Rachel came with her father’s sheep, for she was a shepherdess.

Rachel and Leah said to him, “Do we still have any share or inheritance in our father’s house?

Then they journeyed on from Bethel; but when there was still some distance to go to Ephrath, Rachel began to give birth and she suffered severe difficulties in her labor.

These are the records of the generations of Jacob. Joseph, when he was seventeen years of age, was pasturing the flock with his brothers, while he was still a youth, along with the sons of Bilhah and the sons of Zilpah, his father’s wives. Then Israel said, “Why did you treat me so badly, by telling the man whether you still had another brother?”

But they said, “The man specifically asked about us and our relatives, saying, ‘Is your father still alive? Have you another brother?’ So we answered his questions. Could we possibly know that he would say, ‘Bring your brother down’?”

Then he asked them about their welfare, and said, “Is your old father well, of whom you spoke? Is he still alive?”

And they said, “Your servant our father is well; he is still alive.” Then they bowed down again in homage.

When Judah and his brothers came to Joseph’s house, he was still there, and they fell down to the ground before him.

And Joseph said to his brothers, “I am Joseph! Is my father still alive?” But his brothers could not answer him, for they were terrified in his presence.

For the famine has been in the land these two years, and there are still five years in which there will be neither plowing nor harvesting.

There I will also provide for you, for there are still five years of famine to come, and you and your household and all that you have would be impoverished.”’

And they told him, saying, “Joseph is still alive, and indeed he is ruler over all the land of Egypt.” But he was stunned, for he did not believe them.

Then Israel said, “It is enough; my son Joseph is still alive. I will go and see him before I die.”

Then Israel said to Joseph, “Now let me die, since I have seen your face, that you are still alive.”

Now as for me, when I came from Paddan, Rachel died, to my sorrow, in the land of Canaan on the journey, when there was still some distance to go to Ephrath. I buried her there on the way to Ephrath (that is, Bethlehem).”

Then Moses departed and returned to his father-in-law Jethro, and said to him, “Please, let me go, that I may return to my brothers who are in Egypt, and see if they are still alive.” And Jethro said to Moses, “Go in peace.”

Still you exalt yourself against My people by not letting them go.

They received from Moses every contribution which the sons of Israel had brought to perform the work in the construction of the sanctuary. And they still continued bringing to him voluntary offerings every morning.

“Now if a person sins and does any of the things which the Lord has commanded not to be done, though he was unaware, he is still guilty and shall bear his punishment.

So they came forward and carried them, still in their tunics, to an area outside the camp, just as Moses had said.

When you are sowing the eighth year, you can still eat old things from the produce, eating the old until the ninth year when its produce comes in.
