  12. Moses also said, “You will know that it was the Lord when he gives you meat to eat in the evening and all the bread you want in the morning, because he has heard your grumbling against him. Who are we? You are not grumbling against us, but against the Lord.”
  13. But the people were thirsty for water there, and they grumbled against Moses. They said, “Why did you bring us up out of Egypt to make us and our children and livestock die of thirst?”
  14. He said, “Because hands were lifted up against the throne of the Lord, the Lord will be at war against the Amalekites from generation to generation.”
  15. Even the priests, who approach the Lord, must consecrate themselves, or the Lord will break out against them.”
  16. The Lord replied, “Go down and bring Aaron up with you. But the priests and the people must not force their way through to come up to the Lord, or he will break out against them.”
  17. “You shall not commit adultery.
  18. “You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.
  19. Pay attention to him and listen to what he says. Do not rebel against him; he will not forgive your rebellion, since my Name is in him.
  20. Do not let them live in your land or they will cause you to sin against me, because the worship of their gods will certainly be a snare to you.”
  21. Moses took half of the blood and put it in bowls, and the other half he splashed against the altar.
  22. But God did not raise his hand against these leaders of the Israelites; they saw God, and they ate and drank.
  23. Slaughter it and take the blood and splash it against the sides of the altar.
  24. Slaughter it, take some of its blood and put it on the lobes of the right ears of Aaron and his sons, on the thumbs of their right hands, and on the big toes of their right feet. Then splash blood against the sides of the altar.
  25. Now leave me alone so that my anger may burn against them and that I may destroy them. Then I will make you into a great nation.”
