Zechariah 10:4-12

4 From [a]them will come the (A)cornerstone,
From [b]them the tent peg,
From [c]them the bow of (B)battle,
From [d]them every tyrant, all of them together.
5 And they will be like warriors,
(C)Trampling down the enemy in the mud of the streets in battle;
And they will fight, because the Lord will be with them;
And the (D)riders on horses will be put to shame.
6 And I will (E)strengthen the house of Judah,
And I will (F)save the house of Joseph,
And I will [e](G)bring them back,
Because I have had (H)compassion on them;
And they will be as though I had (I)not rejected them,
For I am the Lord their God and I will (J)answer them.
7 Ephraim will be like a warrior,
And their heart will be joyful as if from wine;
Indeed, their (K)children will see it and be joyful,
[f]Their heart will rejoice in the Lord.
8 I will (L)whistle for them and gather them together,
For I have redeemed them;
And they will be as (M)numerous as they [g](N)were before.
9 When I [h]scatter them among the peoples,
They will (O)remember Me in distant countries,
And they with their children will live and come back.
10 I will (P)bring them back from the land of Egypt
And gather them from Assyria;
And I will bring them into the land of (Q)Gilead and Lebanon
[i]Until (R)no room can be found for them.
11 And they will pass through the (S)sea of distress
And He will strike the waves in the sea,
So that all the depths of the (T)Nile will dry up;
And the pride of (U)Assyria will be brought down,
And the scepter of (V)Egypt will depart.
12 And I will (W)strengthen them in the Lord,
And in His name (X)they will walk,” declares the Lord.

they shall fight because the Lord is with them,
and they shall put to shame (E)the riders on horses.
6 (F)“I will strengthen the house of Judah,
and (G)I will save the house of Joseph.
(H)I will bring them back (I)because I have compassion on them,
and they shall be as though I had not rejected them,
for (J)I am the Lord their God and I will answer them.
7 Then Ephraim shall become like a mighty warrior,
and (K)their hearts shall be glad as with wine.
Their children shall see it and be glad;
their hearts shall rejoice in the Lord.
8 (L)“I will whistle for them and (M)gather them in,
for I have redeemed them,
and (N)they shall be as many as they were before.
9 (O)Though I scattered them among the nations,
yet in far countries (P)they shall remember me,
and with their children they shall live and return.
10 (Q)I will bring them home from the land of Egypt,
and gather them from Assyria,
and (R)I will bring them to the land of Gilead and to Lebanon,
(S)till there is no room for them.
11 (T)He shall pass through the sea of troubles
and strike down the waves of the sea,
(U)and all the depths of the Nile shall be dried up.
The pride of Assyria shall be laid low,
and (V)the scepter of Egypt shall depart.
12 (W)I will make them strong in the Lord,
and (X)they shall walk in his name,”
declares the Lord.
