Revelation 7:9-17 Wycliffe Bible (WYC)

After these things I saw a great people, whom no man might number, of all folks, and lineages, and peoples, and languages, standing before the throne, in the sight of the lamb; and they were clothed with white stoles, and palms were in the hands of them. [After these things I saw a great company, whom no man might number, of all folks and lineages, and peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne, in the sight of the lamb, covered, or clothed, with white stoles, and palms in the hands of them.]

10 And they cried with a great voice, and said [saying], Health to our God, that sitteth on the throne, and to the lamb.

11 And all the angels stood all about the throne, and of the elder men, and the four beasts [And all angels stood in compass of the throne, and of the seniors, or elders, and four beasts]. And they fell down in the sight of the throne, on their faces, and worshipped God,

12 and said [saying], Amen! blessing, and clearness, and wisdom, and doing of thankings, and honour, and virtue, and strength to our God, into worlds of worlds. Amen.

13 And one of the elder men answered [And one of the seniors answered], and said to me, Who be these, that be clothed with white stoles? and from whence came they [and of whence came they]?

14 And I said to him, My lord, thou knowest. And he said to me, These be they, that came from great tribulation, and washed their stoles, and made them white in the blood of the lamb.

15 Therefore they be before the throne of God, and serve to him day and night [and serve him day and night], in his temple. And he that sitteth in the throne, dwelleth on [upon] them.

16 They shall no more hunger, neither thirst, neither [the] sun shall fall on them, nor any heat.

17 For the lamb, that is in the middle of the throne, shall govern them, and shall lead forth them [and shall lead them forth] to the wells of [the] waters of life; and God shall wipe away each tear from the eyes of them.

Revelation 7:9-17 New Matthew Bible (NMB)

After this I looked, and lo, a great multitude which no man could number of all nations and people and tongues stood before the seat and before the Lamb, clothed with long white garments and palms in their hands, 10 and cried out with a loud voice, saying, Salvation be ascribed to him who sits upon the seat of our God and to the Lamb! 11 And all the angels stood round about the seat, and about the elders and the four living creatures, and fell before the seat on their faces, and worshipped God, 12 saying, Amen! Blessing and glory, wisdom and thanks, and honour, and power, and might, be to our God forevermore. Amen.

13 And one of the elders spoke, saying to me, Who are these who are arrayed in long white garments, and where are they from? 14 And I said to him, Lord, you know. And he said to me, They are those who came out of great tribulation, and made their garments large, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 Therefore they are in the presence of the seat of God, and serve him day and night in his temple. And he who sits in the seat will dwell among them. 16 They will hunger no more, neither thirst; nor will the sun light on them, nor any heat. 17 For the Lamb who is at the centre of the seat shall feed them, and shall lead them to fountains of living water, and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

After these things I beheld, and lo, a great multitude, [a]which no man could number, of all nations and kindreds, and people, and tongues [b]stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with long white robes, and palms in their hands.

10 [c]And they cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation cometh of our God, that sitteth upon the throne, and of the Lamb.

11 And all the Angels stood round about the throne, and about the Elders, and the four beasts, and they fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,

12 Saying, Amen, Praise and glory, and wisdom, and thanks, and honor, and power, and might, be unto our God for evermore, Amen.

13 [d]And one of the Elders spake, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in long white robes? and whence came they?

14 And I said unto him, Lord, thou knowest. And he said unto me, [e]These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their long robes, and have made their long robes white in the blood of the Lamb.

15 Therefore are they in the presence of the throne of God, and serve him [f]day and night in his Temple, and he that sitteth on the throne will dwell [g]among them.

16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore, neither shall the sun light on them, neither any heat.

17 For the Lamb, which is in the midst of the throne, shall govern them, and shall lead them unto the lively fountains of waters, and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

  5. Revelation 7:14 The exposition of the vision, wherein the Angel telleth first the acts of the Saints, that is, their sufferings and work of faith in Christ Jesus, in this verse.
