Revelation 2:18-29 Wycliffe Bible (WYC)

18 And to the angel of the church of Thyatira write thou, These things saith the Son of God, that hath eyes as flame of fire, and his feet like latten [and his feet like to the dross of gold, either latten].

19 I know thy works, and faith, and charity, and thy service [and service], and thy patience, and thy last works more than the former.

20 But I have against thee a few things; for thou sufferest the woman Jezebel, which saith that she is a prophetess [the which saith herself for to be a prophetess], to teach and deceive my servants, to do lechery, and to eat of things offered to idols.

21 And I gave to her time, that she should do penance [And I gave to her time, for to do penance], and she would not do penance of her fornication.

22 And lo! [Lo!] I send her into a bed, and they that do lechery with her shall be in most tribulation, but they do penance of her works [but they do penance of their works].

23 And I shall slay her sons into death [And I shall slay her sons in death], and all churches shall know, that I am searching reins and hearts; and I shall give to each man of you after his works.

24 And I say to you, and to others that be at Thyatira, whoever have not this teaching, and that knew not the highness of Satan, how they say, I shall not send on [upon] you another charge;

25 nevertheless hold ye that that ye have, till I come. [nevertheless that that ye have, holdeth till I come.]

26 And to him that shall overcome, and that shall keep till into the end my works, I shall give power on folks, [And to him that shall overcome, and shall keep till into the end my works, I shall give to him power upon folks,]

27 and he shall govern them in an iron rod; and they shall be broken together, as a vessel of a potter, as also I received of my Father;

28 and I shall give to him a morrow star. [and I shall give to him a morn star.]

29 He that hath ears, hear he, what the Spirit saith to the churches.

Revelation 2:18-29 New Matthew Bible (NMB)

18 And to the messenger of the congregation of Thyatira write: This says the Son of God, who has his eyes like a flame of fire, whose feet are like brass: 19 I know your works, and your love, service, and faith, and your patience, and your deeds, which are more at the last than at the first. 20 Notwithstanding, I have a few things against you. You suffer that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach, and to corrupt my servants, to make them commit fornication, and to eat meats offered up to idols. 21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication, but she did not repent. 22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and those who commit fornication with her into great adversity, unless they turn from their deeds. 23 And I will kill her children with death. And all the congregations will know that I am he who searches the reins and the hearts. And I will give to every one of you according to your works.

24 To you all I say, and to others of the people of Thyatira, as many as do not have this teaching and who have not known the deepness of Satan (as they say), I will put upon you no other burden 25 but that which you have already. Hold fast till I come. 26 And whoever overcomes and keeps my works until the end, to him I will give power over nations, 27 and he shall rule them with a rod of iron, and like the vessels of a potter shall he break them to pieces. Even as I received of my Father, 28 so will I give him the morning star. 29 Let him who has ears hear what the Spirit says to the congregations.

18 And unto [a]the Angel of the Church which is at Thyatira write, These things saith the Son of God, which hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet like fine brass.

19 I know [b]thy works and thy love, and [c]service and faith, and thy patience, and thy works, and that they are more at the last, than at the first.

20 Notwithstanding, I have a few things against thee, that thou sufferest the woman Jezebel which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to deceive my servants, to make them commit [d]fornication and to eat meat sacrificed unto idols.

21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication, and she repented not.

22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit fornication with her, into great affliction, except they repent them of their works.

23 And I will kill her children with death, and all the Churches shall know that I am he which search the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according unto your works.

24 And unto you I say, the rest of them of Thyatira, As many as have not this learning, neither have known the [e]deepness of Satan (as they speak) I will [f]put upon you none other burden,

25 But that which ye have already, hold fast till I come.

26 [g]For he that overcometh and keepeth my words unto the end, to him will I give [h]power over nations.

27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and as the vessels of a potter, shall they be broken:

28 Even as I received of my Father, so will I give him [i]the morning Star.

29 Let him that hath an ear, hear what the Spirit saith to the Churches.
