⁵ Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding;

⁶ in all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.

²⁸ He that trusteth in his riches shall fall, but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.

²⁰ He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good, and whoso trusteth in the Lord, happy is he.

²⁴ Man’s goings are of the Lord; how then can a man understand his own way?

²² A wise man scaleth the city of the mighty, and casteth down the strength of their confidence.

³¹ The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but safety is from the Lord.

¹⁷ Bow down thine ear and hear the words of the wise, and apply thine heart unto my knowledge.

¹⁸ For it is a pleasant thing if thou keep them within thee, that they may indeed be ready upon thy lips.

¹⁹ That thy trust may be in the Lord, I have made it known to thee this day, even to thee!

²⁵ He that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife, but he that putteth his trust in the Lord shall prosper.

²⁶ He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool, but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.

²⁵ The fear of man bringeth a snare, but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe.

⁴ Who hath ascended up into heaven or hath descended? Who hath gathered the wind in His fists? Who hath bound the waters in a garment? Who hath established all the ends of the earth? What is His name, and what is His Son’s name, if thou canst tell?

⁵ Every word of God is pure; He is a shield unto them that put their trust in Him.
