so a man’s heart reflects the man.

Proverbs 27:19

English Standard Version

¹⁹As in water face reflects face,
so the heart of man reflects the man.

¹⁴Blessed is the man who always fears;
but one who hardens his heart falls into trouble.

¹⁴Blessed is the one who ^(A)fears the Lord^[a] always,
but whoever ^(B)hardens his heart will fall into calamity.

29 He who is often rebuked and stiffens his neck
will be destroyed suddenly, with no remedy.

29 ^(A)He who is often reproved, yet stiffens his neck,
will suddenly be ^(B)broken ^(C)beyond healing.
