    and your gaze be straight before you.

    ^(G)then all your ways will be sure.
^27 (H)Do not swerve to the right or to the left;
    turn your foot away from evil.

^9 (A)Whoever walks in integrity walks securely,
    but he who makes his ways crooked ^(B)will be found out.

⁵ The righteousness of the blameless ^(A)keeps his way straight,
    but the wicked falls by his own wickedness.
^6 (B)The righteousness of the upright delivers them,
    but the treacherous ^(C)are taken captive by their lust.

^12 (A)There is a way that seems right to a man,
    but ^(B)its end is the way to death.^[a]

^16 (A)One who is wise is cautious^[a] and ^(B)turns away from evil,
    but a fool is reckless and careless.

²² Do they not go astray who ^(A)devise evil?
    Those who devise good meet^{[a] (B)}steadfast love and faithfulness.

^3 (A)The eyes of the Lord are in every place,
    keeping watch on the evil and the good.

⁶ By ^(A)steadfast love and faithfulness iniquity is atoned for,
    and by ^(B)the fear of the Lord one ^(C)turns away from evil.
