Proverbs 11:5

⁵The righteousness of the blameless makes their paths straight,^(A)
but the wicked are brought down by their own wickedness.^(B)

International Standard Version

⁵The righteousness of the innocent creates a level path,
but the wicked fall by their wickedness.

²⁰The Lord detests those whose hearts are perverse,^(A)
but he delights^(B) in those whose ways are blameless.^(C)

²⁰Devious minds are abhorrent to the Lord,
but those whose ways are innocent are his delight.

¹⁰Whoever leads the upright along an evil path
will fall into their own trap,^(A)
but the blameless will receive a good inheritance.

¹⁰Whoever misleads the upright along an evil way
will himself fall into his own pit,
but the blameless will inherit what is good.
