International Standard Version

¹⁷Whoever heeds correction is on the pathway to life,
but someone who ignores exhortation goes astray.

¹⁰There is ^(A)severe discipline for him who forsakes the way;
^(B)whoever hates reproof will die.

¹⁰Severe punishment awaits anyone who wanders off the path—
anyone who despises reproof will die.

³²Whoever ^(A)ignores instruction ^(B)despises himself,
but he who listens to reproof ^(C)gains intelligence.

³²Whoever ignores instruction hates himself,
