5 Thus says the Lord (A)concerning the prophets
Who make my people stray;
Who chant [a]“Peace”
[b]While they (B)chew with their teeth,
But who prepare war against him
(C)Who puts nothing into their mouths:
6 “Therefore(D) you shall have night without [c]vision,
And you shall have darkness without divination;
The sun shall go down on the prophets,
And the day shall be dark for (E)them.
7 So the seers shall be ashamed,
And the diviners abashed;
Indeed they shall all cover their lips;
(F)For there is no answer from God.”

5 Thus saith the Lord concerning the prophets that make my people err, that bite with their teeth and cry “Peace”; and he that putteth not into their mouths, they even prepare war against him:
6 “Therefore night shall be unto you, that ye shall not have a vision; and it shall be dark unto you, that ye shall not divine. And the sun shall go down over the prophets, and the day shall be dark over them.
7 Then shall the seers be ashamed, and the diviners confounded; yea, they shall all cover their lips; for there is no answer from God.”
