The Twelve Sent Out

(A)And (B)He *summoned the twelve and began to send them out (C)in pairs, and gave them authority over the unclean spirits; (D)and He instructed them that they were to take nothing for their journey, except a mere staff—no bread, no [a]bag, no money in their belt— but [b]to wear sandals; and He added, “Do not wear two [c]tunics.” 10 And He said to them, “Wherever you enter a house, stay there until you [d]leave town. 11 Any place that does not receive you or listen to you, as you go out from there, (E)shake the dust [e]off the soles of your feet as a testimony against them.” 12 (F)And they went out and [f]preached that people are to repent. 13 And they were casting out many demons and (G)were anointing with oil many sick people and healing them.

And He summons the twelve, and began to send them out two by two. And He was giving them authority over the unclean spirits. And He instructed them that they should be taking nothing for the journey except a staff [a] only— no bread, no [traveler’s] bag, no money[b] for the [money] belt— but should go having [merely] tied-on sandals. “And do not put on two tunics[c]”. 10 And He was saying to them, “Wherever you enter into a house, be staying there until you go forth from-that-place[d]. 11 And whatever place does not welcome you, nor do they listen-to you— while proceeding out from-that-place, shake-out the dirt under your feet for a testimony against them”. 12 And having gone forth, they proclaimed that they should repent. 13 And they were casting out many demons. And they were anointing[e] many sick ones with oil and curing them.
